After realising I had been spacing out for the past many minutes, I was reinsured if my position by the assuring tap on my arm, coming from Zack. His eyes seemed confused, but he smiled as if he wasn't. His gestures always seemed to be mixed.

"Well?" He whispered, seeming clueless at that moment. I didn't want him to know, because those dreams would haunt him, so I decided to keep quiet about it.

"Just reminding myself about my parents. You know how I feel about sitting here..."

I looked towards the sun. It was once again that time of day when the stars ever so slightly shine through the atmosphere, and the sun is touching the horizon, turning every object in sight to a glimmering golding haze. When you can hear the crickets calling for their loved ones to come home... And the birds settle into their nests for the night.

Once again, Zack was looking at me again. He was either confused about why im staring off into the distance, or mesmorized by the golden rays hitting my hair, giving its bleached color a golden tint that seemed to blend into the beauty of the forest around me.
