The woods were difficult for Steve to venture but he could see the blood trail. Klaus made sure to wipe his hands against the trees and allow her blood to drip along with the dirt and grass as he ran with them. The anger Steve felt was incomparable to any other moment in his life and the moon was nearly at its fullest. His eyes seemed to permanently be amber as he stumbled through the woods. It wasn't until they neared familiar territory that Steve became curious about what they were doing. Fumbling out of the woods and into loose gravel he recognized the familiar sign 'Brimborn Steel Works'. It had been a place previously used by the mind flayer. The villains weren't very original. The main entrance was down some stairs, and the railing was lined with Emma's blood. Steve glanced at his hand as he ran his fingers across it, not realizing it had been there. The sight of her blood only caused him to grow more monstrous. As he entered the entrance of the abandoned factory, his eyes fell on Emma. Who lay in the middle of the room on the floor. The area was covered in debris, dirt, and blood. Though it wasn't all Emma's blood. Steve rushed over to her and as he did the door behind them closed. The only light was that of the full moon that began to shine above them through the deteriorating ceiling of the old building. "That went even better than I had planned." Klaus walked over toward them with his hands clasped together. "Now, you see that lovely fence? That's your new home for this evening." Steve slowly lifted his head to look passed the area they sat to see a gated area. "Don't worry, if it can hold a vampire it can hold a werewolf." It had seemed to be premeditated.
"I'm not a werewolf." Steve spit at Klaus.
"Oh, not yet, but you will be." He lowered his head, bending slightly to smile devilishly at Steve. The smirk played on his lips but Steve turned away.
"Emma?" She was wincing.
"She'll be fine. I've already fed her some of my blood. Now, the real test is yet to begin." His eyes lit up as he raised one finger and pointed to the side. Strapped to a metal pillar not far from them was a brunette, unconscious. She wasn't familiar though. Steve didn't understand. Klaus rolled his eyes, realizing the boy was much more dimwitted than he had anticipated. Stepping passed the two in the middle of the cemented floor, he retrieved the other twin. Pulling her by the elbow into the room. Klaus threw her toward them. As she fell forward, Steve attempted to catch her to help break her fall. "Let's begin!" A wicked grin fell across his lips as he circled them like prey. "I'm going to give you the choice between two people you love dearly." Outstretching one hand to Emma, he smiles. "The love of your life." Then he proceeded to outstretch his other hand to Amy. "Or her sister." Klaus stared at Steve as he waited for the dumb child in front of him to piece together what he would have to do. It took a few minutes and slowly Klaus watched as Steve began to understand.
"No." He said as Klaus's smile grew wider. He nodded.
"Oh yes." Steve looked between the girls as his eyes filled with tears. He shook his head rapidly and pushed himself back away from them. Klaus stepped between them and toward Steve. "Don't be a coward." The glare that Klaus produced intimidated Steve. It shook him to the core. "Show me that you're an alpha." The serious look on his face had every fiber in Steve's body trembling. As Klaus stepped back and away he turned away from them for a moment before he spun back around and slapped his hands together. "We need to speed this up a bit. We don't have all night, full moon and all!" Steve shook his head but Klaus was tired of playing nice. It was irritating him more each time the idiot shook his head. "You will not disobey me! If you do not make the decision yourself, I will make it for you!" Amy leaned forward, looking at Steve.
"It's okay." She said softly to him. Steve's eyes fell to her. He shook his head.
"No, I can't. I can't do it." Steve wasn't capable of murdering someone, that was the whole reason he was still untriggered at the age of 21. He never won fights. Amy looked at him with tears in her eyes. Emma slowly sat herself up and looked at Steve. For a moment, the two locked eyes. The events that were going to unfold would tell their story.
