You. want. ice cream.
Right here, right now.
After literally months of not being able to lay a hand on the icy delight, you were experiencing weird withdrawal symptoms.
Or they were just simple craves and you were being dramatic.
Doesn't matter.
Right now, you were swerving through bodies of people in Starcourt Mall, dead set on getting your favorite cookies and cream flavored ice cream that you were trotting down the moving escalator, skipping steps with practiced ease.
With your eyes straight ahead, people let you through with confused and annoyed glances after seeing your stomping figure—which was smart of them. Anyone who gets in your way in the middle of your tandem is gonna get socked in the face.
Again, you're not dramatic, just craving.
Anyways.
Finally arriving in front of the small parlor with a big sign that had 'Scoops Ahoy' in the front, you marched your way in, stopping behind a group of teenagers chatting with the girl behind the desk in a blue and white themed sailor uniform and a hat.
You were impatient, but tried your best to hold back your tongue.
"Hey, dingus, your children are here," the girl called out to someone, the kid in front of her ringing the bell repeatedly. She had an attractive, husky voice that could most definitely lull you to sleep, short hair and stunning blue eyes.
You held back the flush on your cheeks.
The sliding windows behind her slid open, revealing a man in the same themed uniform and hat, only for male workers. He was... pretty. So, so pretty. And so, so familiar. And when he spoke, you almost sputtered.
"Again? Seriously?" He questioned exasperatedly.
Steve Harrington.
The kid leading the group didn't bother to respond and only gave him a look, slamming the bell one more time.
Before you could delve into your thought process any further, the teenagers were being led by Steve to the back room. You didn't question it since they finally left you a clear way of finally getting your ice cream.
You approached the girl happily.
"Ahoy there, my friend. The name's Robin, what would you like for tonight?" She greeted with a half-hearted tug on her lips, obviously tired already.
You gave her a small smile. "Ahoy there, matey. I'd very much love a cookies and cream cone on this sea of flavors," you said, pulling out an amount of money in advance. Robin lets out a huff of a laugh, nodding before setting off to start scooping.
"On it, my lady," she said.
You watch her in anticipation as she moves quickly around the station, hands moving swiftly.
The back doors where Steve had disappeared to earlier swung open, revealing the man himself. You tried not to stare so much, but you couldn't help but notice that he didn't change much at all. Same pretty eyes, same pretty nose, same freckled cheeks, same poof of hair. Except now, courtesy to company policy, his 'best feature' was covered by the hat provided.
Still looked pretty, though.
Gosh, you needed to get a hold of yourself.
However, Steve's eyes immediately landed on you, still standing by and waiting for your cone of ice cream. There was a quick glint in his eye, and then he was striding over to you, taking position beside the almost-finished-scooping Robin and leaning on the marble counter.
