King lied about not remembering the party. It's partly true. A lot of it was a blur, but he knew exactly what Diane was talking about. He just didn't have the guts to own up to that confession.

Diane looked let down.

Diane: How do you not remember?
King: I think I sustained a brain injury with that punch he did?

King bit his tongue harder.

Diane: Oh.. I see..
King: Was it something important?

That line caught Diane's attention. King had given it away.

Diane: Oh.. I see.. Did you not mean it?
King: Mean.. What?
Diane: Please don't lie to me.

King looked away from Diane. He couldn't look at her dead in the eyes and lie to her. He couldn't.

King: I.. I meant it.. Most definitely.. I just wished I didn't say it.
Diane: Why?
King: Because.. I-I know.. We can't be together.. Even if you did feel the same way....

King started twiddling his thumbs again and irritably started moving his leg.

Diane: How do you know I don't?
King: D-Don't what?
Diane: How do you know I don't feel the same way?
King: Because, Diane, I'm not an impressive looking man.. I look pathetic.. And you're not.. You don't deserve to be.. Just my maid. You do deserve to be with an impressive man. You do deserve the world.. And I'm sorry I dragged you here.. I'm sorry I.. I'm so sorry that I find interest in you-
Diane: Stop.

King stopped. He realised he was crying.

Diane: I don't care about impressive things.. I like you. I like people that are kind, compassionate, caring and gentle. You're such a good person.. There isn't anyone else I'd rather love than you... I really really like you.

Diane moved closer to King.

Diane: Id appreciate if you stopped criticising yourself.. You deserve more than that.

Diane caressed Kings cheek, wiping it of the tears. She then kissed him. King closed his eyes and went with the flow of the kiss. Diane put her arms around his neck and backed King up to the corner.

When they parted King began crying again. He apologised once more.

King: I'm so sorry.. I can't stop crying..
Diane: You don't have to apologise..

Gerheade saw and reported it to Gloxinia.

King and Diane touched foreheads whilst laughing with each other. Diane stood up and got up out of the bath. She put on her towel.

Diane: I'll wash your back..
King: a-alright..

King slowly got out of the shower, Diane looking the other way. King sat down on the stool and Diane started washing his back. She kneeled down. She then moved her hands round from the back to his stomach. It was like she was hugging him from the back. King tensed up.

King: I-I think that's.. I'm..

King squeaked. Diane smiled and stopped.

Diane: Do you want me to stop?
King: Well.. I mean.. I'm sorry I accepted your proposal.. But I'm alright to do it by m-myself..

Diane smiled and stood up.

Diane: I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to make it sexual-
King: T-THAT'S NOT IT AT ALL! THATS NOT TRUE.. I-I'm just.. I'm the one at fault here..

Diane smiled and hugged his back. King smiled at her.

King: I love you Diane.. <3
Diane: I love you too<3 Harlequin.

King Gloxinia: What?
King Uther: Unacceptable! UNACCEPTABLE! You must dispose of her AT ONCE!
King Gloxinia: I-I can't do that..
King Uther: YOU CAN'T DO WHAT? Dispose of a rebellious maid?
King Gloxinia: Harlequin loves her. I cannot simply dispose of her, he'll be extremely enraged.
King Uther: Then ship her off to Liones, I'm sure that she can make one hell of a slave there.
King Gloxinia: I don't think I can-
King Uther: I'm afraid we cannot tighten our bonds if she's still seducing your prince.. Which is a shame..

King Gloxinia looked at Gerheade. Gerheade lowered her head..

King Gloxinia: Well that would be unfortunate.
King Uther: Wouldn't it? Our goods would be limited to your country.. No food.. Starvation.. Poverty-
King Gloxinia: -I will have our maid transferred over to Liones.
King Uther: What about her memories? She can simply run back here..
King Gloxinia: *whispers* This devil.. Fine! She will have her memories wiped, as to not remember Harlequin.. Nor ever return to my country. Now.. We will have a peace treaty signed, as for you to not go back on your word.
King Uther: I will most definitely sign that. Do you have any other demands?
King Gloxinia: We will get 2 times the amount of goods we are getting at this moment.. At the same price.
King Uther: Deal. How about that?!
King Gloxinia: Surely getting the maid out of my country is not the only request you would want?
King Uther: Very true.. Well. I would like..

After the conversation ended King Gloxinia left to his bedroom and slammed his hand against the wall.

King Gloxinia: WHAT THE HELL?
Gerheade: I'm so sorry.. It's all my fault-
King Gloxinia: It wasn't your fault. It's his twisted mind that's at fault here.. Damn it.. How dare I make Harlequins romantic interests into a marketing deal.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, GERHEADE?
Gerheade: He wouldn't have let you go even if you rejected him.. You did all you could to make a benefit out of a lose lose situation!

Gloxinia sat on his bed and took off his shirt. Wings bloomed behind him. Gerheade was in awe. She's never seen his wings since the day he lost their parents. The only people with fairy wings in the world are those of fairy royalty. Not even those of the country of fairies have wings.

King Gloxinia: I hope those two will be able to overcome this and be able to live happily with each other..

Diane was dressed and lied down on her bed. She looked over at Kings bed and waited for him.

King met Meliodas and Elizabeth in the hallway.

Meliodas: Oh! Hey King!
King: Hey Meliodas.. Princess Elizabeth.. Thank you both so much for today, you have my thanks..
Elizabeth: It's really no problem.. What happened to you today was very harsh..
Meliodas: I have to apologise on behalf of what he stupidly did.
King: Apology accepted..
Meliodas: You look well, non the less.
King: Very much so..
Elizabeth: What happened that changed your mood?
King: Well.. Diane confessed to me earlier and we both shared a kiss..

King felt himself blush as he said this

Meliodas: Im so happy for you Buddy
Elizabeth: That's great news! Are you both together now?
King: Aha.. Im still yet to ask..
Meliodas: Well we'll be rootin for ya buddy!
King: thank you.. I hope you two have a very nice night..
Elizabeth: I- HUH? W-We're not..
Meliodas: Thanks, King, I hope you and Diane get married happily together.
King: Thank you. Blessings to you both.
Meliodas: You too King!

King smiled and walked by them. He then walked into his room and saw Diane.

Diane: You look happy.
King: I am, truly, happy. I'm very happy with the outcome of today. It was worth the pain.

Diane stood up and walked over to King, who lied down. King watched as she snuck under the covers with him. He went bright red. They both looked at each other in the eyes and smiled. Diane leaned closer into him and pecked him on the lips.

Diane: Love you..
King: ahaha.. I love you too..

King hugged Diane and the night was over.
