The figure stepped out of the darkness. He had half black and half white hair, with markings covering his face. It was Rogue from the future. He explained that he was going to use the power of the Eclipse Gate as a weapon, a canon to be more precise. From the time he came from, dragons had taken over and barely any humans survived. In his past, which was the current present, someone had stopped the gate and so nothing could be done to stop the dragons. He explained he needed to stop that person, and kill them.

His eyes widened in a crazed glare, before targeting Lucy with an attack. However, "Future Lucy" took the blow. She died in her arms.

Natsu, infuriated, sent a large attack after "Future Rogue." Lucy, Wendy, and the exceeds all left to find the gate. You left on your own to find Fairy Tail.

You heard a bunch of ruckus coming from the Li-In Crystal Plaza, which was at the center of Crocus. Since this was a dire situation, you used Meteor to get there quickly.

"(F/n)?" You looked over. "What happened to you?" Bacchus questioned.

You looked at your appearance. Your clothes were dirty and had a few tears in them. You also had a gash on your arm that you hadn't noticed, which most likely came from your battle with Kama.

"Partied too hard," you lied with a smirk.

Bacchus let out a boisterous laugh. "I bet!"

Everyone started cheering so you walked over to Bacchus in confusion. "So, what's going on exactly?"

"The king has asked us for assistance on taking down a bunch of dragons," the drunkard laughed maniacally.

That's when it clicked. The Eclipse Gate. It made a path to 400 years in the past, the last time that dragons were documented. And Future Rogue had this evil air about him, as if killing someone wasn't enough. The Eclipse Gate was going to be how the dragons got here in the first place.

You all felt a rumbling on the ground, before dragons started to go through the city. Everyone separated into groups decided by guilds. You decided to follow Twilight Ogre and help them, since they were the weakest out of all the guilds (judging from how they didn't make it through the preliminary round).

"Listen up!" Natsu's voice rang through the sky and you looked up to see a dragon falling. "There are seven dragons and seven dragon slayers! Our magic exists to be used today! We exist to fight today! It's time to go dragon slaying!"

You smiled at his encouraging speech and continued to fight alongside Twilight Ogre. Unfortunately, one of the dragons released multiple eggs from the sky all across the city of Crocus. After a few moments, these eggs hatched into baby dragons. Everyone separated off into smaller groups, so you decided to go alone. You were a Wizard Saint, after all.

You battled many baby dragons, until one of the larger dragons swept their tail, sending you flying through the air before crashing through a building. It took you a few moments to gather your balance as it left you quite dazed.

You made your way out of the building with a slight stumble, before realizing that a large group of baby dragons noticed you.

You turned around only to realize that there were more. You were cornered. You tried to rack your brain for anything you could do, but before you could make any moves, someone pushed you down.

"What's the big ide-" you stopped as your eyes widened in horror. Sting was on top of you as blood dripped out of his mouth. There was a hole in his abdomen. He fell on top of you, and you saw a baby dragon behind him. That attack was meant for you. But Sting took the blow.

You couldn't do anything. You couldn't say anything. You could only stare at him in horror.

You started to leave the building, before getting a sense of Deja Vu. What just happened? You were just here before. Sting died while saving your life, but there he was, fighting against a dragon.

You decided to go a different route, and went on top of the building. No dragons had noticed you yet, so you decided to use this to your advantage as there was a large group of them. You would pull out your most powerful spell.

You took on the stance needed for the spell. "True Heavenly Body Magic..." The clouds started to spin before a large asteroid started to form at the middle. It became red and orange as it became hot. "Sema!" It fell to the earth, leaving a giant explosion that took out thousands of baby dragons.

You didn't put as much energy in it, since you knew of the damage it would leave behind.

You became exhausted. That spell used up all of your magical energy. You fell onto your knees and hands before everything faded to black.

You heard voices talking. It was two men. They were familiar. It also felt like someone was carrying you. Their smell was familiar... comforting, even. It almost lulled you back to sleep. Almost.

Your eyes fluttered open as you groaned.

"Morning, sleepyhead," Sting smiled down at you.

You took in your surroundings. Ruined buildings were everywhere, but you saw no dragons. "What happened?" You mumbled. You noticed that Sting was carrying you bridal style and it made you blush.

"Well, after that huge spell you did, you passed out from exhaustion. And all the dragons disappeared five minutes later, but we're not sure why yet. You feelin' okay?"

"Everything hurts," you chuckled but then winced, "but I'm okay."

You stayed silent for a few moments before asking, "Sting? Did... did you have that vision too?"

His eyebrows furrowed as he looked ahead, "Yeah."

"Were you... were you really going to risk your life for mine?"

He looked down at you with a slight frown. "Yes."

"Why?"

"I couldn't bear the thought of seeing you dead when I knew I could've done something."

You went silent. You didn't know what to say, or do, or even think. He confused you. Why did he care about you so much?

You welcomed darkness once more.
