"I want alcohol" I say as soon as the movie ends. I'm wrapped in Miles's arms and he laughs at my comment.
"Nope" Ophelia is quick to say which earns a frown on my lips.
"Why?" I turn to her and she looks at me dead serious as if to say 'are you joking?'
"You're on your period and with those mood swings and your body consuming alcohol, I'm afraid you might burn the house down or throw a table at Miles or Xavier" she says and Miles burst out laughing while Xavier looks terrified.
"I vote for no alcohol then" Xavier raises his hand in the air.
"Well that's no fun" I frown, leaning back in Miles's arms.
"How about me and Vier take the car to get some snacks instead, ice cream? Chips?" Miles suggested, rubbing his fingers over my arm.
"Oh and cookies!" I look up at him and he gives me a sweet smile.
"Alright, we got a list, get your ass up Vier" I nearly jump out of surprise when I feel two fingers grip my chin. Miles brings my lips to his, kissing me gently "Bye" he says in a whisper.
When the two boys leave Ophelia crawls across the couch and crashes into my arms. "I missed you" I tell her with a kiss on her cheek.
"I missed you too," she says, hugging me closer.
"Why do I have to cuddle my... boyfriend... when I got you" I still find it hard calling him my boyfriend. Ophelia, on the other hand, is laughing and hugs me tighter.
"I still can't believe you and Miles are together" she says and my response is out of my mouth without a second thought.
"Trust me, I don't either-" I go quiet, she does too.
"What makes you say that?" My best friend asks, looking at me with a confused face.
"No I just mean... it came as a surprise when he asked... yeah, that's what I meant. A true surprise, not that it would be a fake surprise, it's all true"
Oh my god shut the fuck up.
Ophelia is looking at me weird before cracking a smile. "True love is definitely the word. I mean Miles can't lie for shit, me and Xav always thought he was in love with you so on his part it wasn't a surprise but for you, I would've never expect you to see him for more than a friend"
I go quiet. That can't be true, it's just an observation, nothing that is true.
"I'm happy for you both though" Ophelia says, taking the remote to put on Gilmore girls and I still don't speak a word.
The episode goes on for a few minutes before my mind finally works again. "You know, now that me and Miles are... together, maybe you could give Xavier a chance. You broke up but it feels like you didn't"
She takes a deep breath "I love Xavier, so much, but i don't know if it's a good idea"
"Why not?" I definitely did not mean that to come out as bitchy as it did; however, I don't see a reason for it to not be a good idea. "You're both practically together with the way you are with each other-"
"Because!" She cuts me off and my jaw drops at her tone. It's not common for Ophelia to raise her voice, ever. She takes a deep breath. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scream"
