A vengeful brother

"It's over Anakin, I have the high ground!" Kenobi shouted above the screaming fires of Mustafar.

Lord Vader's feet were planted firmly on the hovering platform. He looked up at his former brother, enraged at his betrayal. Infuriated at how Kenobi turned Padme against him.

"You underestimate the power of the dark side." Vader growled.

"Don't try it." Kenobi said, his eyes sad, but his voice stern.

Vader knew what Kenobi was doing. Obi-Wan was baiting him. Daring him to jump. Obi-Wan knew of Anakin's desire to prove himself. His desire for others to acknowledge his superiority.

After all, Anakin spent his entire time in the Jedi academy being told he was 'the chosen one' meant to bring 'balance to the force.'

He was constantly reminded of his power. How he held more power than Grand Master Yoda himself. It inflated his ego to great degrees.

However, Vader would not make the same mistake twice.

Using the force, he picked up the lava surrounding him and hurled it towards Obi-Wan in massive quantities.

Kenobi dodged the first two, but the third projectile smashed into him at full force.

Obi-Wan was set alight immediately, falling to the ground and laying on the shore, burning and screaming in agony.

Vader slowly walked up to his former master, and used his lightsaber to remove every limb Obi-Wan had.

Vader took a moment to enjoy the scent of Obi-Wan's burning body. To listen to his screams of pain.

"Now suffer, Obi-Wan. As I have suffered."

Vader took Kenobi's lightsaber and left him to burn.

Vader's eyes snapped open. They were glowing yellow, filled with rage.

He was not standing on the shores of Mustafar.

He was not victorious against Obi-Wan.

He instead was held up inside a support harness inside of his bacta tank which were working on his burn wounds.

All his limbs were missing.

From inside the tank, he could see multiple droids working on the life support systems that kept the bacta tank in check.

He wore a mask on his jaw which had one large tube descending down his throat and piercing his lungs, which would feed him air.

It was extremely uncomfortable and at some points, incredibly painful.

The worst part of it is, is that this was Vader's only chance to relax.

When he wasn't 'relaxing' he was inside of his black life support suit which in itself, was torture to wear.

His suit was equipped with a plethora of things that were keeping him alive. From electronics constantly beeping in his ears, to the constant, heavy breathing which has become something of a icon in fear.

The clothes themselves were extremely heavy and would also catch on his charred skin, making it very itchy and painful.

A single movement, something as simple as walking became agony.

Vader knew why his suit was made like this.

The Emperor had the greatest technology in the galaxy.

He was constructing a planet destroying ship.
