So I had an idea to write a horror book called "the Balloon Head Killer"
In this story a woman would move to a new city to finally get away from her abusive parents. She would love the city but would because curious when she hears about a murder that occurred a few days after she arrives. The murder killed both parents, hollowed out their heads, stitched all the exit points (mouth, ears, nose, ect.) Then found some way to fill it with oxygen and put it on a sick. Like a balloon. Then put in it the child's bedroom, so that when the child woke up the next day on their birthday, they would get a "happy birthday present" of their parents heads on sticks.
She thinks about also leaving the town before she meets a guy and starts to fall in love with him. So she stays. But finds out later that after she met him the Balloon Head Killer won't leave her new boyfriend be and keeps paying him visits in the middle of the night.
At first she thinks one of her abusive parents followed her here and was now trying to ruin her life, but a few days after she think about this she hears that her parents have been murdered so they are no longer suspects.
Then she thinks maybe it's her jealous friend who she met when she moved here. A few days after that, the friend too would be found dead and the Balloon Head Killer turns out to be the last person she expects them to be.
What do you guys think? Would that be an intriguing story?
