juniper and jaemin sat slouched against the couch, both with their legs splayed out in front of them as they quietly ate their lunch.
"i'm literally so tired right now i could fall asleep on this nasty ass couch," june mindlessly stated after throwing her trash away. "we should petition for new break room furniture."
jaemin looked up at her from the couch before smiling, "look at you. here for a week and already starting petitions."
"i have been here longer than that!" she girl shot back in offense, getting over it quick and jumping back next to her work bestie. juniper let her head fall back against the couch with a sigh, "i noticed lia has yet to bring me the promised snacks."
"haha, loser." jaemin grinned as he obnoxiously chewed a chip from the bag renjun and jeno brought for him. he continued laughing as his curly-haired coworker shoved her hand into the bag to steal a chip, not bothering to fight back.
after a few minutes, juniper decided to check her phone to get the time. there was a notification from her uncle, and when she read it, her smile dropped.
jaemin was quick to notice the sudden change in her demeanor and sat up. "what's up? everything okay?"
"yeah," she squeaked in response, standing and brushing the crumbs off of her scrubs. "come on. we're gonna be late."
