SUSPENSION LETTER

CHAPTER 55:

Next morning,

Avu had slight dark circles below her eyes. She was still thinking about the last night incident. She got ready and went to office.

Reaching there,she started cleaning the table of Sid. She was arranging everything when Sid entered the cabin but she was too lost to know it.

Sid- Good morning.

Sid looked at her when she didn't wish back. He found her lost in her thoughts. He went near her and shook her shoulder.

Sid- Avni?

Avu(coming back to senses)- Hn hn..

Sid- Kya? Kahan khoyi ho?

Avu- Nowhere.

She went to make Sid's coffee. He sat on his chair confused. She came back and gave him his cover. He took one sip and spit it. Avu looked at him.

Avu- Kya hua?

Sid- Avni,it's so bitter,cheeni(sugar) kahan he?

Avu- Huh? Shayad daalna bhul gyi..

She turned to go to bring sugar but Sid got up from his seat and held her hand.

Sid- Kya hua Avni? I am seeing that u are lost from morning.

Avu- N-nothing yaar..just work stress.

Sid- Toh phir chutti le lo na...

Avu- Kya chutti le lo...yeh office he club nahin he jo ese hi chutti le loon.

Sid- If one person is tired or overburdened,definitely he or she should take rest.

Avu- If u are overburdened will u take rest?

Sid- Avni, I am the boss.

Avu- And I am boss's PA. So no more discussions. Meeting ka time ho rha he. Mr. Mehta aa rhe honge...let's go!

She collected the files and left. Sid sighed and went behind her.

Half an hour later,
Meeting was continuing in the conference hall.

Mr.Mehta's PA- But there are chances this thing may fail. Why do u think customers would like it Miss Kaur?

Everyone looked at Avu but she was again lost. Sid again shook her.

Sid(whispering voice)- Avni..

Avu- Yes.

Sid- They are asking something.

Avu looked towards everyone and found them looking at her.

Avu- I'm- I'm sorry...I had just zoned out. Can u repeat?!

The man asked again. She explained. Like this the meeting completed. The whole time Avu was lost in her thoughts which didn't go unnoticed by Sid. The meeting got over and all left the hall except Sidneet.

Avu was collecting the files when Sid stopped her.

Sid- U are taking leave for 2 days.

Avu- What! No ways..

Sid- Kya no ways...u were even lost during the meeting and these dark circles clearly say that u are not even sleeping at night. Do din na aakar kuch badal nahin jayega.

Avu- No no no...I will not take any sort of leave..

Sid- U sure?

Avu- Yes.

Sid- Okay fine..

He took out his phone.
Avu was standing beside going through the file while Sid was typing something in his phone.

Suddenly Avu's phone vibrated. She opened the notification and saw that it was an email from Nigam Enterprises. She looked at Sid for once and again looked back to the phone. She started reading the mail.

Avu- Dear Avneet Kaur, It is hereby informed to you that you have been suspended for the next two days. Due to lack of concentration in work, this suspension letter is being forwarded to you. It may be even reviewed and expanded if the problem continues. Regards,Siddharth Nigam, CEO-Nigam Enterprises

Sid- Goodbye!

Avu- What the hell! U can't do this.

Sid- I have already done and right now u are going back to home.

Avu- Tch...Fine!!

She went to her cabin,collected her things and was going to open the door when she found Sid standing there.

Sid- Bye!

Avu- I hate you!

She went away pushing him. He chuckled and got back to the work.
