The gate was red and glowing. I saw Robin go through it and I quickly followed suit. Once through I saw Steve being attacked by these weird bats that had long tails. I quickly flung one away. I carried on flinging them away until I heard someone shout my name. "Y/n!!" I heard and I nearly cried. "For fuck sake Eddie I told you to stay in the fucking boat and be safe!" I shouted at him as I saw him start to hit the weird bats away. "As if I was going to stay up there like a coward" he retorted. "Fuck your pride Eddie Munson, I needed you safe!" I said and stopped another bat creature from attacking him. "You could use my help, love" he said with those goddamn eyes. "Fucking hell, Munson" I swore.

Steve ripped a bat in half out the corner of my eye. I smiled and felt relived that they could take care of themselves. Suddenly the bats stopped attacking and just sat next to the portal.

"JESUS H CHRIST" Eddie exclaimed next to me as I sat on the floor. "Ed, calm down, they've stopped" I told him, massaging my temple. "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah, just give me a minute," I sighed and held my head in my hands and shivered lightly. "Here" he said as I felt material on my back. "Ed, no you'll freeze" I said as I recognized the feeling of leather. "Better than you" he said and kissed my head. "Thank you" I said grateful for this amazing boy who was taking care of me all of a sudden.

"It's, like they're guarding it?" I suggested. "So this place is like Hawkins but like dark and full of monsters?" Robin asked. "Pretty much" you agreed. "So, technically we can go to police station get guns, grenades, anything to kill those things and get back through" she suggested. "I don't think they'll have grenades, but guns will come in handy" Steve acknowledged. "Guns sounds good" Eddie nodded and I agreed too. "What if we don't have to go all the way downtown? I have guns. In my room" Nancy said, shocking Eddie. "You, Nancy Wheeler. Have guns, plural, in your room?" he asked, disbelievingly. "Yeah" she replied. "To Wheeler's house!" I announced.

Eddie quickly reached for my hand as we made our way to Nancy's house. "I'm glad this happened." Eddie announced, swinging our hands ridiculously. "Me too. I'm the one who had the crush for ages remember?" I reminded him teasingly. "Doesn't mean I feel any less for you y/n" his eyes lit up when they looked at me. I can't wait for this to all be over soon so we can just be. Just be ourselves. And listen to records and see his band play live. Be normal teenagers, for once. "True enough, Munson" I said and leaned up for a quick kiss.

Robin looked at me when she thought I wouldn't notice. I felt really bad about that, but it was too late for us. "Why does Robin keep staring at you?" Eddie asked quietly next to me. "I used to like Robin. I guess she feels bad that she didn't like me back. But that's over anyway now." I was officially coming out to Eddie Munson. Scary. Still, he should be fine, right? He's a metal head, they're surprisingly accepting. Right? "So you're gay?" he asked and he took a step back. "No, not like fully. I like everyone, I guess. In the middle I guess." I looked, pleadingly into Eddie's eyes. "Oh." he said and nodded. He took a step closer to me, "me too" he whispered in my ear. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah, just don't tell anyone, okay? I would never live it down. I'm already the freak" he said. I gave him a hug. "Mine. And not a freak." I said, quickly punching his arm. "I'm surprised you didn't know to be honest. I mean I don't say it but I wear this" he said holding up his handkerchief that was in his back pocket.

"Okay, Munson. First of all, I didn't question it when you kissed me. I just assumed you wore it for the other reason, you know. The connotations" I said and he smirked. "oh yeah? You into that?" he asked. "You're the one that offered to do drag for me, honey.
And I enjoyed the mental imagery. So you ask if I'm a little kinky? The answer, my dear sweet Eddie, is up to interpretation" I said sneakily. He hooked his right arm around my waist, "oh baby, you don't know what you just signed up for" he whispered in my ear. "Don't give it all away yet, Munson. I want a surprise" I teased and laughed. "You're in for one" he said and we continued walking.

Once we got to the Wheeler house, me Eddie and Robin followed Nancy to her room. She got a box out of her wardrobe and slowly opened it. She moved the tissue paper and held her breath to reveal... a pair of fucking shoes. "Umm- those aren't guns" Eddie pointed that out. "Yeah, no shit" I agreed. "Are you sure you didn't leave them somewhere else?" Eddie asked. "I have a six year old in the house. I know where I keep my guns" Nancy said sharply. "Okay, keep your wig on, Jesus" I said and rolled my eyes, Eddie laughed lightly.

Nancy panicked and started running around the room talking. "And you! I gave you to cousin Joana two years ago" she said talking to a stuffed animal. "The last entrance is from November 6th... 1983" she said. "They don't exist yet" Eddie asked angrily. "DUSTIN" we heard Steve shout from the other room.

We all went downstairs. "Harrington, what are you doing" I demanded. "Dustin, that little shit is here. Dustin? DUSTIN?" he continued to shout. "Maybe he does have rabies" Robin said. I snorted and quickly covered my mouth "ew" I sighed. "No, it's cute" Eddie said and rested his elbow on my shoulder to support him. "Don't lie, it's gross" I said. "No it's not, it's cute" he insisted. I was about to say something else when we heard Dustin's voice. "Oh my god, that little shit!" I exclaimed. We all laughed lightly.

Next thing I knew we were in Nancy's room with glowing dots in front of us. Nancy wrote 'hi' on it, when dustin replied we all went mad. Eddie shouted "HI" rather aggressively. "Calm down" I told him, he smiled widely. Dustin, rather rudely, explained his theory that there's a gate at every victim site. "This kids, gotta get his ego in check" Steve said. "It's his tone, right?" Eddie agreed.

We all got on the Wheeler's bikes and rode to Eddie's trailer...
