Izuku: The Quest of the Quirkless

[Izuku POV]

I walked into the apartment to see Mr. Aizawa sitting on the couch in his pajamas. If this person is so important, you would think he would at least dress like a normal person.

"Hello there, Mr. Izuku!!"

I looked towards the kitchen to see a mouse-bear-dog thing sitting on the counter.

"I know you may be wondering if I'm a mouse, a bear, or a dog, but what matters is that I'm the principal!!" the creature told me.

"Principal...? Of what school?" I asked, trying to think of a high school with a principal who looks like this.

"My apologies. I'm the principal of UA."

I fainted.

After that mess...

I sat up quickly and stared at Nezu, the principal of UA and one of the most intelligent beings ever, if not the most intelligent.

"MR. NEZU!!!!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Mr. Izuku," Mr. Nezu had a cup of tea in his hands (paws?) and was sitting on Mr. Aizawa's lap. "I've heard a lot about you from Aizawa."

I stared at Mr. Aizawa in confusion. He just grumbled, earning a quiet chuckle from the UA principal.

"Aizawa tells me that you are a smart kid."

HE SAID WHAT?!

"If you will, may I have a look at one of your hero analysis notebooks?"

I couldn't (didn't trust myself to) speak, so I just rapidly nodded. I practically jumped up from the couch I didn't even realize I was on and sprinted to my room. I looked up at my shelf of notebooks and struggled to pick one. It'll probably be better if I give Mr. Nezu a recent edition. Yeah!!

I grabbed Hero Analysis Notebook #14 and sprinted back to Mr. Aizawa and Mr. Nezu.

"This is my lastest edition," I told the principal as I held out the notebook. Mr. Nezu took it carefully and started to read it. I started to run the back of my neck. "It's not fully complete because I don't have as much information as I would like, but it's a start..."

I waited anxiously for Mr. Nezu to say something, anything. It felt like an eternity before Mr. Aizawa muttered something.

"There's tea in the kettle on the stove if you want some."

Mr. Aizawa knows that drinking tea is a good way to calm my nerves, so I smiled gratefully at him and walked into the small kitchen. I grabbed my cup (Mr. Aizawa bought it for me) and poured myself some of Mr. Aizawa's tea. I took a sip and almost instantly felt calmer. His tea's the best!!

I walked back into the living room and sat on the couch I was on before, watching Mr. Nezu still reading my notebook.

"I must say, this information is very thorough and accurate from what I know," he praised me, shocking me in the process. He looked up at me. "How old are you again?"

"14, sir!!" I replied, sitting up straighter. Mr. Nezu hummed and tapped Mr. Aizawa's leg with my notebook. Mr. Aizawa took Mr. Nezu's cup of tea and set it on the little table beside him, then my notebook. Mr. Nezu held his paws in his lap, staring at me, his expression unreadable.

"I would like to give you a special test with the UA entrance exam. It will be tough, but it will either confirm or destroy my suspicions," he told me.

"You want to give me a special test?! Will that affect-"

"Your chance of passing the exam?" Mr. Nezu stated more than asked. I nodded. "No, but it might give you a few... benefits..."

I gulped, worried about these 'benefits'.

"I'll do my best!!!!" I told him, excited and nervous for the special, unexpected test in the future. Mr. Nezu smiled.

"Well then, Aizawa and I should be off to take care of some final preparations for the entrance exam. It was a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Izuku."

Mr. Nezu climbed into Mr. Aizawa's scarf as he stood up.

"Food's in the fridge, problem child," he told me as he opened the door. "I'll see you after the entrance exam."

I waved, knowing he wouldn't see it and sighed. I smiled. I just met the principal of UA and I helped that girl earlier today!! But I need all the sleep I can get for tomorrow!!
