Behind a Mask (Hunter x Reader)

~The ideas I had - The future (and the end)

Hello, guys!

How're you doing? I hope you are doing okay!

So, yeah, after a looong time, I decided to finally end this and tell you what I had prepared for Behind a Mask before I stopped it.

Yes, I know it took a long time, but I'll use this as a way to process season 2's finale that broke my heart XD

So

Basically, the last two chapters I had prepared were going to be separated into two arcs.

The first arc would be Hunter and Luz trying to understand y/n's betrayal, several weeks after they're gone. Hunter is of course totally heartbroken, and he closed himself to everybody again. Belos has his full trust once more, as he realized he can only trust his uncle. While this happens, Luz is in The Owl House, trying to process the fact that Eda almost died and her friend just left without a proper explanation. However, she still believes that y/n had a good reason for that, and hopes they're happy wherever they are. I thought of her and Hunter having a brief conversation about y/n, and how much they wish y/n was back.

The second arc would be a bit longer, and it's about y/n learning about the human world, their culture, and family. Y/n is trying to live a normal life with their mom, who is very emotional about finding her child. In my head, her name is Miranda, but you guys can choose whatever name XD So, Miranda spend weeks with y/n to make up for all these years they both couldn't be together. They talk about what happened in their lives during all this time. Y/n connects with their mother pretty fast, and besides all the chaos that happened before, they feel at peace for finally belonging somewhere.

However, all this time, y/n is feeling a terrible pain in their heart. A pain they can't escape, and it's getting worse over time. They talk to Miranda about this pain, and while speaking, they realize what is going on: they miss Hunter. Y/n wishes to be with him, show him the human rain, hold his hands as the sun goes down, laugh with him, and hug him. When this realization finally gets into their mind, y/n starts crying. Miranda comforts her child and tells them that this seems like love. 

Y/n loves Hunter and wants to see him back. However, they don't know how and fear that, in the end, y/n will have to choose between both worlds.

At that moment, Miranda reveals something to y/n: before disappearing, y/n's father left a spare key with her in case their child went to the human world someday. It's the same teleportation key we see in the show. But the key is not working, it works only a few times, and needs Titan's blood to be activated. Then, y/n thinks for a long time about what to do without blood and remembers: their bracelet. Their dad wouldn't leave them without a plan. They're sure there's blood in the artificial magic bracelet. But y/n understand that, in order to activate the key, the bracelet will have to break. Therefore, y/n would never do magic again. At least, not artificial magic. Probably they'd never make another abomination anymore.

With that in mind, y/n gives up on their artificial powers and breaks it, putting the Titan's blood inside it on the key. The key is functioning once more. Crying, y/n hugs Miranda and promises her they'll be back with their friends once everything is safe. The battle isn't over, and Belos isn't defeated yet. They need to go back and finish what their father started. And they do.

So, yeah, that's kinda it XD I thought of y/n's confrontation with Hunter once they're back, and them hiding in the Owl House while he doesn't want to talk with y/n, but not much further than this :( Oh, yeah, in my head, y/n and Hunter would bond again in Hunting Palisman ^^

I know I've said this a million times by now, but I'm really sorry for not writing this story anymore. I'm having a creativity block that never ends, I'm working on a lot of personal projects, and writing a story this big takes me a lot of time and energy.

However, that doesn't mean I'll never write again

And that's why I want your help, if you want to

I had an idea of starting short The Owl House stories, with themes that you guys suggest to me. We can even make a sort of book together, in which you send me your stories, and I post it. Maybe we can create stories together, who knows? It's really just an idea, but yeah, that's it ^^ Leave in the comments if you have an idea for a story, or something like that XD
