No. No, no, no. "Niyx" she screamed. "I always knew you'd be the death of me, Kitten". The scene changed, she was now standing in front of Bear, his eyes broken, haunted, "Its your fault he's dead". She saw the final battle again, except this time, Aven won, and he slowly, carefully, killed each and everyone of her friends, infront her, as the Garseth ripped her back open with their knoted whips.

Kaiden P.O.V
"Alex. ALEX!" Kaiden James woke to screaming. He rolled out of his sleeping bag, sprinting to the source as soon as he pinpointed it.  It was coming from Alex. Thrashing in her sleep, she lay tangled in her own sleeping bag, surrounded by their SaS classmates. Jordan knelt next to her, trying to rouse her from her nightly terrors. It wasn't uncommon to be awoken like the on SaS campouts, nor did it seem that it was only when they were out from the safety of the main campus. Both Alex, and her roommate, D.C went around campus with bags under their eyes, the former's larger and darker than the latter's. Just as Kaiden reached them, Jordan managed to wake her. Pulling her now limp body upwards, they both whispered reassurances and promises of safety into Alex's years as they pulled her upright. A bottle of water that Tom had silently passed to them was pressed against Alex's  lips, forcing her to drink it. As she calmed down, she finally seemed to notice the crowd of worried onlookers. "Sorry guys, I didn't mean to wake you up." She rasped. Jordan and Kaiden exchanged a glance, and Kaiden could see the worry he was feeling reflected in the other boy's eyes. With a pointed glance around the small group, all but Declan returning to their sleeping bags, with him taking his post as lookout.

"I am worried about her," Kaiden muttered to Jordan, the words understating the depth of his feelings. They were standing near to Alex's curled up form, watching her as she looked over Lake Fee. She had dark circles around her eyes, and her skin lacked her usually vitality. Alex was clearly dealing with some form of trauma, and it was obviously getting worse. Jordan mummered in agreement. "Dix told me she has been waking up screaming and thrashing every night" he answered. Who could blame Alex really? All who had fought in the war were grief stricken, or worse, but Alex felt it the most, even a year after the Blooded War(As it was now being called) was over. Unsprising with all she had gone through really. Alex could barely stand the sight of Laendra, and often had breakdowns, resulting in a trip to the Med Ward for a Sernity Spot and sleep meds from Fletcher. "We should tell Marselle" Kaiden nodded in agreement, snapped out of his reverie. The sounds of the camp stirring and waking up seemed to call Alex back to the present. With false cheeriness, she walked over to the rest of the group, who eyed her carefully. There was no physical sign of Alex's distress, her baggy eyes hidden by a bright smile and carefully applied makeup, and her pale skin covered with a jacket and her ridiculous looking SaS cloak. "Let's go finish this task before we freeze our backsides off." She exclaimed, not waiting for a response before she grabbed the arrow they had found last night, and was transported to their next location by the pre-set bubble door. With a shrug, Kaiden followed her.

His surroundings swirled, and with a tug at his back, he reached the location, immediately taking in Alex's tense stance, and their snow covered surroundings. "N-n-n-i" she didn't get to finish before Declan appeared near them, and within the span of a few minutes so did the rest of their Stealth and Subterfuge classmates. "What's wrong Alex?" She was still quiet, Alex's body shaking in tumours. It was then that Kaiden looked around, "Oh, oh no," Jordan seemed to have realised at the same time he did. They were at the top of Mount Paedris. Standing on the spot Niyx had died.

"Oh, Alex" Kaiden swept her up in her arms, just as silent tears started to slip down her cheeks, "No more tears. He said no more tears, remember?" Their classmates exchanged confused glances around them. They all knew that Alex had played an important part in the war, and they all knew that she was not alright, no matter what she said. They were all also used to these breakdowns, happening more and more frequently as time passed. But no one except her closest friends knew what this place was to her, who she had lost here. "Why, why here?" Alex sobbed into his shirt, the first words she had said since the rest had arrived. Finding a arrow attached to a nearby tree, Tom unfurled the paper attached to it. At his gasp, the rest of the class went to read the note. "Come on, Ghost can't really expect us to catch a hyroa" Kaiden wasn't sure from who the exclamation had come from, but Alex just started trembling harder. Kaiden held onto her tighter as Alex continued to cling to his chest. With a final deep breath, Alex turned to the others. They gaped at her deathly calm face. "Right, here's what we're going to do."
