Myra's POV

As soon as mi reach a school I am the happiest person there. Just fih see everybody round mi happy and talking about their issues at home really makes mi feel better.

From last week mi nuh see nor hear from Nate and mi nah text him. Him more dan lucky. Mi naave no time fih him. Mi deh a school miserable right now. Imagine we a take graduation picture and we inna the sun a sweat up we self... Secondly we cyaa even do we hair or wear nuh likkle make up. Then everybody picture aguh ugly eno.

After mi take the picture them mi ask the man fih mek mi look pon them. It neva too ugly. Bad to bad, mi have a nice smile. We neva really a do nothing today. Caz yesterday was our last exam. So everybody just a relax and a talk to them friend. Then we saw the principal coming. Most a we did a eat and a behave kinda loud. Everybody shut up when them see her and a gwaan like them nice. Watch them, hypocrite them eno. Mi frighten when she nuh seh nuhn bout it.

" Girls please come closer, I have something I want to say," She said commanding us with just the tone of her voice. She really scare me eno. Everybody start draw close to her fih hear wah she have fi seh.

" So girls I know it has been a stressful couple of weeks, You've been studying a lot and I hope your hard work pays off."

"Thank you Miss," We all answered.

" Ladies, You're all growing and becoming responsible young ladies. It scares me how time flies. It feels like just yesterday I welcomed you here. I'm going to miss you all. Promise that you'll make the best of the world outside and leave your mark," Wait deh..... Then a bawl miss a bawl. No sah. A fuss mi a see this. My principal? Bawling? This nuh real.

" Miss a bawl yah bawl?" Tricia mek anybody laugh eno.

" Tricia don't let me write up a order mark" She said jokingly, " I love you all. And always remember that responsible student......."

" Make a difference!" We chorused as she walked away.

Come to think of it, Mi really aguh miss this place fi real eno. I've made some pretty good friendships for the 5 years I've been here for. Most friendships even develop into family. As a year group we have been through a lot but we still a smile and push through. Mi just hope everybody guh fih wah them want and nuh mek nuhn tek them off track. Nuh matter how hard it be mi just hope dem chase them dreams. Mi cyaa lose me bsf frl eno dwg and I hope she know seh mi love r.

Afta we done eat, mi guh home caz mommy did tell me seh fih come talk to daddy about something. When mi reach home she a tell mi seh she cyaa guh get fih sort out my documents becuase somethings nuh in place suh mi affi guh ask mi father fih do it. My father and I haven't really been on good terms. He left us when I was seven and since then he's always been on and off whenever he speaks to us. I haven't spoken to him in 5 since. That was since I started high school. He didn't attend my graduation and he did not even call to say congrats to me. But my mother have a good heart becuase she never once cuss him or say nothing bad about him. I like that about her.

I decided to call him becuase I really want those papers sorted out. He answered after me calling 5 times.

"Hello.....?"

"Daddy, a Myra"

"Wahm mi daughta?" Suh wait deh......Afta 5 years a this him have fih seh? Just wahm? No sah Jesus. If uh nuh busy tek a look God.

"Nothing.... I wanted you to help me deal with some papers," Mi just know him aguh seh him cyaa manage it eno.

"Mi nuh know eno, but ah mi aguh see wah can gwaan." Is a first this. A sign this bredda.
