RELIEF FILLED SAIKI WHEN HEfound you. From accidentally making his parents float and various other powers-related incidents, his day was starting off to be too chaotic for his liking. His psychic talents seemed to be going haywire this morning, and he was glad to be by your side again so you could help mellow down his abilities.
"Saiki!" You called as you rushed over, rainwater splashing around in your wake. You looked pleased with yourself, which Saiki inferred from the grin on your face was because you had lent a hand to that woman in need.
"Move, move, move."
He obeyed, making sure the umbrella was still shielding his head as he stepped aside.
As soon as you were a few feet away from him, Saiki felt instantly lighter, as if your presence removed some sort of tension from his body. Together, you set off towards the school.
The rain was nice. For some reason, Saiki found it soothing, a thin cover of sounds muffling the thoughts of those around him. It chilled the air too, bringing cool breezes through the two psychics as they walked.
With the trip to school being wonderfully calm and incident-free so far, Saiki started to hope that the whole year would be like this. He just wanted to live peacefully undetected, though his experiences in the previous year made him anything but.
Thankfully, you were always there to help him out of difficult situations. You seemed to understand him well enough too, making you a great companion. With all these traits, you and Saiki were able to utilize that strange connection you had and make the best of it.
Even though he still didn't know why you had this connection, or how, or even why your powers had disappeared and why his was uncontrollable at times, Saiki was glad to have that bond.
