I took over the pack immediately after my dad died with my mom helping a lot while I was finishing high school.

I put on a gray button up shirt and a pair of black jeans. I rolled up my sleeves and headed to the office.

I heard a knock. "Hey..um how are you." Micheal said opening the door.

"Fine."

"You sure?"

"What do you need?" I said returning to my papers.

"I just wanted to say your mom wants to know if you'll be coming home for dinner and says the twins birthday's coming up and wants to remind you to get a gift for-"

"Micheal I'm busy."

"I know but your mom's worried and so am I."

"I don't have time for this."

"But Ian all you do is work, you never take a break..." Micheal walked closer to my desk. I looked up. "You hardly eat, you barely sleep, you need a break."

I stood up. "Is the pack in danger?"

He shook his head.

"Is everyone okay?"

He nodded.

"Then why are you here?" I said in a low voice.

He licked his lips. "Me and your family are worried about you."

"You don't need to be, I'm fine so get out." I said sitting down.

"Evan wouldn't want you working yourself to death."

I jumped up and walked towards him. "It's been fucking years! Evan is gone, she left me and no one knows where she is, and she probably won't be back!"

He pushed me away. "You're just going to give up on her! She's your soul mate and you're gonna give up after only three years!" He yelled.

I pushed him back. "Do you know what it's like to find her and then lose her!?"

"I haven't even met mine yet I've had to wait 19 fucking years! And you're going to give up after three!"

"I didn't say I was I'm not going to give up! I won't give up until I find her!"

"Then you'll have to take care of yourself until then." He said his voice calmer.

I turned away from him. He's right I know he's right but I...

"I'll come to dinner. Now get out."

"I'll let her know." He left shutting the door on his way out.

I sighed. I started thinking about Evan and how much prettier she must've gotten. I lost my dad, found out Evan moved away, had to take on the manly roll in my siblings life, be there for my mom, and take over the pack all within a few days. I sighed I missed her smile and her warmth...I wish she was with me right now...I've done everything I can to try and find her. I sent everyone I could spare to look for her, I contacted every Alpha in my dads contact list the odds of her being in a place with wolves our pack didn't know was slim to none and yet..either someone's hiding her to hurt me or she's in one of those places.

I got back to work trying to get my mind off of her even for a moment.

A couple more hours went by and my door burst open.

"Ian!" Ronny yelled holding his arms up.

"Wait up Kieron." Kyra said running in after him.

"What are you two doing in here?" I knelled down hugging both of them.
