Chapter 24: Torture

Several days had passed since me and Bell started training and I still get sick every time I pass the torture room. I want to ask Ian if hes ever used it, he said it'd been empty for a while but how longs a while? Days? Months? Years? I want to know but I don't at the same time. I'm scared the answers yes and what if it was recently.

After eating what I could handle without throwing up Bell and I went down to the basement where I did my best not to look into that room and hurry to the one we've been training in.

"Okay let's do the exercises your mom showed us before she left."

"Yes ma'am." Bell replied.

We started off by shifting just parts of our bodies and then changing them back to normal over and over in different sequences, Bethany said it would help us learn to control the form better, then we needed to increase our energy capacity by using it in different ways for as long as possible, balls of light, lifting things, ect.

"Hey you guys!" Micheals voice broke through making me jump.

Bell started laughing.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you."

"Did you see how funny she looked!" Bell then proceeded to jump and make a dumb face before continuing laughing.

I sent a tiny electrical current to zap her.

"Ow hey!"

"It's what you get." I stuck my tongue out at her and then flashed her a tessing smile.

"Micheal Evie's so rude she shocked me." Bell fake whined.

He walked over to Bell and kissed her on the cheek, wrapping her up in his arms. "You guys almost done?"

"Yeah we were just about to get out of here." I know it's just about the only safe place to practice so no one finds out about our abilities but I still don't like it down here.

"Perfect, I was coming down here to see if you guys want to go on a little shopping trip." Micheal smiled.

Bell looked at him with a raised brow. "You paying?"

"Of course."

"Then I won't turn that down. Come on Evie."

"Is Ian coming?"

"No he still has some things to do." He paused fiddling with his pocket. "But don't worry he gave me this." He pulled out a card holding it above his head dramatically. "To give to you to spend however much you want." He then held it out offering it to me.

"I don't know, it doesn't feel right to just take his money."

"Evie he obviously doesn't care if you use his card or his money, come on let's go shopping!" Bell squealed.

"He's already done enough for me I don't want to keep taking without giving him anything in return."

Bell grabbed the card from Micheal and placed it in my hand. "If that's how you feel." She leaned into my ear and whispered. "Then buy a special outfit for his eyes only.

I blushed hard. I opened my mouth but nothing would come out I can't do something like that! I covered my face with my hands and turned away from her "N-no, that's not good." I managed to say.

Bell laughed. "No need to be embarrassed, I have a few special outfits for Micheal's eyes only." She shot a flirty grin to Micheal.

"And as a guy I can say I love those special outfits." Micheal winked at Bell.

Oh gross. "I'm gonna kill you two."

Micheal laughed. "We should get going before the special outfit store closes."
