"Baby, wake up" I feel a warm hand on my shoulder, shaking me gently from my deep slumber. I groan and turn away from the voice, pulling the covers over my chin. I hear them giggle, followed by footsteps rounding the bed.

"Come on love, it's almost noon. I prepared brunch for you" she tempts me, and as if right on que my stomach started making sounds. A few more seconds, I feel soft lips land on the middle of my forehead.

Okay, I'm up.

I slowly opened my eyes, the first thing I see is bright emerald eyes staring back at me. However it was too intense so I hid back under the covers while she laughs.

"We've been together for almost two years now and you still shy away from me?" I groan and muffle out

"Can you blame me? You were staring at me with those eyes of yours AND smiling at me so beautifully, my heart was working overtime and felt like it'll burst." I feel little shuffling then suddenly the covers completely off me, a grinning Lauren greets me full of mischief.

"Then can YOU blame ME for thinking my girlfriend has an adorable sleeping face?" when I didn't reply, her smile drops and that's when I pulled her waist towards me, making her land on top.

"You're adorable" tucking a few strands of hair covering her face behind of her ear. A pink hue tints her cheeks and I smile, pecking them lightly. When I pulled away she pouts but I shake my head.

"I need to brush my teeth before I do that" I winked while she huffs, getting off me and heads to the kitchen while I quickly do my business in the bathroom.

As I enter the kitchen, I see my lovely girlfriend's back turned to me while she was pouring coffee on my mug. When she's done I quickly stood behind her, slipping my arms around her waist, pecking her cheek while she lets out a mini scream.

"I hate you!" she says slaps my hands away, I laugh and spin her around, pushing her on the counter.

"No, you don't" placing my hands on both sides, trapping her in as I lean up, standing on my tiptoes a bit seeing as she's slightly taller than me till I felt her lips against mine, I feel her sigh and wrap her arms around my neck, leaning down to kiss me deeper, I gasp when I felt her tongue swipe against my bottom lip, but I pull away.

"Come back here baby, I wasn't done" she says, following my lips making me giggle, quickly pecking her lips again before I walk back to the table.

"Later, I don't want to let the food you prepared to go to waste." she rolls her eyes and grumpily sat on her chair, while I start eating a slice of pancake, humming at the taste.

"10 out of 10, as always" I say trying to appease her, she tried hiding a smile by looking down and eating but I saw the slight tug on the corner of her lips.

After a pleasant meal, I forcibly offered to wash the dishes. Who knew I'd be fighting to do chores? I wasn't much of fight, few kisses and I won. While I do that she headed to the living room, by the time I finished I see her on the corner of the couch, nose burried in a book.

"Good?" she nods and pays me no mind. I hum and walk to my section of our bookshelf, grabbing a book I haven't finished and then back to her, laying my head on her lap to start reading. This went on for a good hour before she shifts her legs, looking up I ask

"Numb?" she sighs and puts down her book on the side.

"Kinda" I moved off and sat beside her. "Better?" she nods, I sit up while I hear a giggle beside me, followed by her laying her head on my lap, looking at me with those eyes. I lean down to place a kiss on her forehead, she scrunches her nose before returning back to reading.

I, however, grew bored so I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv, putting enough volume for me to hear and not disturb my girlfriend's reading.

A few minutes into the show I feel her move around and stretch then turn around, now laying on her stomach.

"Whatcha watching?"

"Bailey Sarian's true crime videos" she hums and buries her face on my stomach, making me giggle.

"Tired?" she nods as her body relaxes, I gently run my fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp and soon after, feel her breathing steady.

"Sleep well, my darling."
