It was a chilly Friday night, a girl can be seen sitting by her window looking up at the sky admiring the hauntingly beautiful sight. She finally sees what she's been looking for, a lightning gracing the night sky, she clenches her fists as she awaits for what comes next.

The booming sound of the thunder made her flinch as memories flashes in her head, she doesn't know why she keeps doing this. Waiting for any storm signal, always on the look out for a storm to grace their area, maybe it's the only way to feel something again, to see her and for a short glimpse, be with her. She takes a deep breath but whimpers as she's startled by another flash of light, she closes her eyes as another thunder roars.

"Babe?" she gasps, as she feels arms wrap around her.

"What are you doing, aren't you cold?" she says as she turns you around her embrace, looking up to those emerald eyes you loved so dearly. She rubs your arms gently, warming you up, eyebrows furrowed in worry.

"Let's get you to bed hmm?" she takes your hand but you didn't budge.

"C-can we stay here?" she tilts her head in confusion.

"Why?"

"Just cause..." you say playing with the hem of your shirt, hearing a sigh you looked up to her walking out the room, you whimpered thinking you upset her.

So you turned your attention back to the sky, often looking at the pitter patter of the rain along the street, buildings and your window. All of a sudden, you feel warm as you feel someone wrapping their arms around you, legs aligning with yours as she stands behind you and a blanket thrown over at both of you.

You flinch as lightning strikes, but then you hear her soothing words, relaxing you. She raises your head to look at you, but frowns as she sees your tear streaked face.

"Why the tears, mi amore?" she says, wiping them away with her thumb gently. You were crying, sniffling you just shake your head.

"It's probably nothing." you mumble moving your face to snuggle into her even more, enjoying this moment and wanting it to last longer.

"I'll always be here for you, mi amore." she whispers, wrapping her arms around you, one hand cradling your head that's pushed on her neck, inhaling her scent.

"I love you, Lo." you look up to her emerald eyes, seeing them tear up but filled with love, none the less. She smiles and slowly walks you over to your bed, laying you down and tucking you under the covers.

"Sleep now, my beloved." she brings a hand to caress your face and leans forward, placing a kiss on your forehead. You did nothing but admire her features till you felt the weight of your eyelids, and eventually succumb to a blissful dream.

You woke up to a ringing, realizing it's the phone, you picked it up.

"Hey Y/n" a gentle voice greets your ears as you sigh, expecting the call.

"Hey Clara" you whisper, fisting the sheets.

"I'm just calling to see how you are doing."

"I'm doing fine, no worries." you hear her sigh as you bit your lip.

"Okay, but if you need anything, anything at all I'm here, okay?" your lips tremble at the offer.

"A-alright, bye." you quickly hung up, as you started crying. After feeling like you dried your tear ducts away, you got up to clean yourself up. As you headed out, you pass by her picture. You kissed your two fingers and placed it against the frame.

"It's been 3 years now, I miss you more every damn day passes. I'm being strong, that's what you always told me, right? I love you and happy anniversary, my beloved."
