Chapter 1
[Cupcake's perspective]
"Run Vi," I scream.
"What do you think I'm doing stupid," she replies.
Violet runs into my arms, I catch her, we start slowly falling to the ground together. She leans against me. I put her head in my hands, we lock eyes and smile.

I wrap Vi's arm in bandages, she whimpers in pain. I start to wipe her tears that are rolling down her reddish-pink cheeks - she pulls away.
"What?" I ask.
"I'm supposed to be the strong one, I'm supposed to look after you," she says.
I roll my eyes. She interlocks her fingers with mine, I smile.
"There, you're all patched up," I reassure her.

"Cupcake, we need to hide, Sevika and Silco are after us."
"Don't worry..." I push her hair out of her face. "They can't find us here".
"I need to tell you something. Jinx found out I'm still alive; she interrogated Sevika. She's trying to find me, but she's not with Sevika and Silco."
I stay silent and nod my head - Violet knows exactly what I'm saying, even if its a silent cue. She starts swinging along the overhead pipes.
I look at her biceps, they're muscly but also feminine.
"I can see you looking at me". She winks.
I start to blush in embarrassment. She jumps down from the pipes and pulls me in towards her.
"You know... you're cute when you're embarrassed."
I shake my head "Nu uh-" All of a sudden, I couldn't finish my sentence, she had kissed me. I raise my hand onto her cheek.
