[Cupcake's perspective]
It was a cold blistering night, my lips and hands were going purple. Violet was in front of me, pushing away the snow.
I start to see a light at the top of the mountain.
"Vi, are we almost there?" I asked.
"Nearly Caitlyn" She replied.
She never calls me by my real name. I knew something was on her mind. I try to run up the mountain to catch up with her. Suddenly I hear a gun shot and trip & crack my head on ice...
[Vi's perspective]
"Fuck! Caitlyn!?"
I rush down to see if she's okay, I land on the ground scraping my knees on the ice. I rush to her side and check if she's breathing. She's not... I do CPR, roll her on her side. I scream and fall back. I'm crying and screaming for help. I look again to see if it's true, she was shot.
"Caitlyn, please come back to me, I can't do this without you." I wimper.
I continue to do CPR and mouth-to-mouth. I finally check her pulse again. I realise, she has a pulse. I feel her squeeze my hand. I scoop her body up in my arms; as if she was a child. I rip some of my t-shirt and wrap it around her leg - where she was shot. I give her my snow-proof jacket to try and warm her up since her lips are still purple. I check my thermometer it reads -30 degrees. I feel my tears starting to turn into little icicles. I continue to carry Cupcake for another hour or so till we get inside an abandoned ski resort. I start to make a fire and rest Caitlyn on the floor next to the fire. I re-wrap her wound from the bullet hole and cover her in blankets.
I hear her lightly say "thank you." then she falls asleep.
I decide to lay next to her, I try to fall asleep but I can't. The memory of seeing her shot keeps replaying in my head.
I end up falling asleep since I know Caitlyn is safe.
