5 ~ New History

"Did you hear about the new Cardio Goddess Owen got Cristina?" Reed ran up to me

"No, I didn't. Wait Cardio Goddess, nice"

"Dr. Adamson go to the PACU and write the post-op note on Mrs. Murodoch." Dr. Bailey came up to Reed.

"Do you want me to page you if there are any complications?" She asked when Adele, Richard's wife approached Miranda.

"Miranda, there you are" She came up to us

"Adele- uh, you, all right? Is everything ok?" Miranda asked

"Richard didn't come home last night and he didn't call. Tell me he's not lying somewhere dead in a ditch."

"Ok, uh, the last time I saw him he was- um. Last night in his office." She nodded

"He was working on the budget" I smiled.

"Reed," I said turning and looking behind her signaling to walk away.

"Ophelia." She smiled and we turned around and started walking.

I walked down to meet Cristina and spotted Izzie talking to Meredith.

"Where the hell have you been? You miss your I.L -2 appointment." Cristina said concerned.

"Why the hell are you so concerned Cristina. She left Alex" I came up yelling.

"You told Cristina I was Here? Who else did you tell? And Ophelia I didn't mean to-"

Izzie was cut off by Charles, "Well, well, well. Look who's back" He grinned

"This guy? You told the guy that got me fired?" She scoffed

"You think Charles getting you fired was the worst thing that could happen to you. Watch out." I said getting in her face.

Derek came up behind me separating us. "Dr. Percy's on my service today."

"Oh. And I didn't get you fired you did that all by yourself. But I would love to see What Dr. Reed is planning on doing to you" He smiled and walk away. And I did too. When I saw Alex. They were still talking but they also realized Alex was standing there.

"Iz" He choked out.

"Alex," I said. He dropped his cart and walk away. I picked it up and set it on the table beside me.

"I swear to God if you don't leave right now I will kill you." I looked at her.

"Fine" she walked off.

I got paged to trauma and ran to get ready.

"Sick sinus syndrome. She needs a temporary ansvenous pacemaker now." I tell Teddy

"Dr. Yang or Dr. Reed do you want to take this one? I haven't done one of these in ten years." She laughed. I looked at Cristina in surprise.

"Excuse me?" She blurts out.

"I do," I say. I wanted to impress the new cardio attending. As much as I wanted to let Cristina do it, she was so mad I felt like she could mess it up.

"Great all yours," I started.

"wait. Uh, you don't remember how to or..." Cristina asks

"I've been working primarily on soldiers, Dr. Yang out of whom are well under the age of 70. Use the right I.J, Dr. Reed. It'll give you the most direction."

"Dr. Altman, will you excuse me for just a moment. I just need to talk to the chief about something." Cristina walks out.

"Nice Job Dr. Reed" Teddy tells me. "You'd make a great cardio surgeon, but I've heard you'd also make a good neuro... and PEDS... and trauma.... And ortho... an-"

"Thank you," I say as I take off my gloves and walk out.

I sat down for lunch with mark, Arizona, Callie, Teddy, and Owen. They talked about how the chief is apparently having an affair. And how Cristina ran away from every Cardio Person we've had.

"No, you're probably right. Just because Yang drove off the last three cardio attending doesn't mean..." Mark stated

"She did not" Owen defended her

"Burke?" I name one

"Come on that was..."

"Hahn?" Mark says

"She has nothing to do with Hahn." Owen response.

"Nope, that was me." Callie huffs

"Dixon?" I say

"Cristina just needs a strong cardio attending and she deserves a strong cardio attending." Owen puts down his food.

"Cristina? Huh. Wow. So you and Yang? What happened to you and Beth?" Teddy asks.

"Ok well I'm going to go sit with my fellow residents," I say as I walk over to my friends.

"What did you say to Owen?" Meredith asks Cristina as I sit down, everyone flashes a smile at me as a hi.

"Oh, that she's gotta go. I mean, he knows how important this is to me. I need someone who's gonna take me to the next level. And he brings me, like, this desert storm Barbie who hasn't seen the inside of an O.R. in, like, ten years? I mean, if this is what he thinks of my talent, then I'm ... I ... I gotta break up with him. Have you even talked to Izzie yet I mean, has anyone talked to her?"

"You know what? No ones allowed to talk about Izzie while I eat." Alex shouts.

"Am I the only one who's concerned here?" Cristina asks.

"Yes." Alex and I both stand up and leave.

My day after that was pretty boring. I sat in the gallery and watched Jackson, Arizona, Cristina, and Teddy operate. After that, I went to the resident's lounge where I was met by a happy Cristina.

"Guess what I did today?!" She said peppy

"Well whatever it was it had to be better than getting your surgeries stolen by Mercy West residents," Meredith says and I laugh.

"Definitely better than my day. It was very boring."

"It was I did a Takeuchi repair." She clapped

"You did not!" I stood up.

"Uh, not all by myself, but Altman did et me do the coronary artery anastomosis!"

"Wow. Maybe she is a Cardio God!" Meredith said

"Yeah I know" She laughed

I packed up all my stuff and got ready and left. I didn't get to see Jackson or talk to him at all today. Which was kinda obseting. So I went to Joe's and grabbed a drink.

I saw Richard as I walked in

"Hello Richard," I said sitting down. I looked at the drink in his hand.

"You sound like Addison" He laughed.

"Why thank you,"

Joe came up to ask my order "Usual?" He asked

"Actually no, I'll have a Cosmopolitan"

"Ok coming up."

"You drink a lot?" Richard asked

"No, actually. But I had a boring day. You?"

"No I don't drink," We sat in silence. Until Richard spoke up once more.

"Have a Good night Dr.Reed" He walked out.

"You to Richard"

Ok so this was like a short filler chapter there wasn't really anything to write about or add her into. The shooting episode is slowly but surely coming up soooo if you have any ideas lmk
