It had been three days, and nothing. Nothing from the boys. Nothing from Steve. Nothing from anyone. She was getting restless, and she wasn't sure how to handle it. She found herself pacing the length of her bedroom, ringing her hands as she tried to ease the uncomfortable knot in her stomach. However, a sudden tapping brought her out of her state and caused her to look to her window. She waited for a moment, and then managed to catch a small stone hit the glass. She pushed it open, looking down, finding Steve stood with a hand full of stones that he was examining.

"What are you doing?" She asked just as he was about to throw another. He sent her a smile, dropping the stones to the floor.

"I came to... to tell you something." He said. "Can I come up?"

"Yeah." She backed away from the window, leaving him room to climb up and in. "You know you can use the door right?"

"It's more fun this way." He shrugged.

"Oh my god, what happened to your face?"

"I uh, got into a fight, it's nothing." He said. "Um... sit." He told her, and she sat. He took a seat beside her, grabbing her hands. "I uh... Nancy and I... we broke up."

"What? When, why, what happened?" She asked.

"I don't know, and I don't care because, becasue I want you." He told her, and her mouth became agape. "For the longest time, I just wanted you but I never imagined I'd deserve you and then you said that you wanted me to kiss you I just... I don't know, I just felt like I needed to have you no matter what."

"But... when you told me about this girl you were so specific when you-"

"It's easy to describe something when you're looking right at it." He smiled. "Toni, I... I love you. I've loved you for, for forever. You're perfect to me." She couldn't help but smile, her heart pounding against her ribs. "And you don't have to say anything, at all, ever, if you don't want to but I really-"

"No, Steve, I... I love you too." She said, a slight giggle escaping her throat. "I love you." He leaned over, hastily latching their lips together. She smiled into the kiss, the sweetness of it sending tingles down her spine and causing her to shudder slightly. This kiss wasn't like before. It was soft, and gentle, and it felt as though they had time to soak up this feeling. However-

"Ant! Ant, pick up the radio right now!" She leaned back with a groan, partly wishing she was an only child right about now. "Antoinette, I swear to god, you better answer me!"

"Aren't you gonna-"

"He'll go away."

"Hey, uh, Ant, you know that time I told you I hadn't been through your draws looking for your piggy bank. That was a lie, and I found your diary and I read that sucker cover to cover! I know you can hear me.... so answer me or I'm about to broadcast all of your deepest thoughts and feelings on every possible frequency of you don't-"

"Alright!" She huffed, having swiped up the walkie. "What? What is the problem?"

"We're in trouble. Like, real trouble."

"Like... police trouble?"

"Worse. Staties, man."

"This isn't about El, is it?" She breathed.

"Uh..."

"Damn it, Dustin, don't you ever listen to me!"

"Hopper said he needs to know where we are because he wants to help but I told him not to come for us because, let's be real, Ant, you're the only adult that we trust and if things go bad, you need to be there." He said, and that's when she knew he was serious. "Please, Ant. We really need your help." She sighed.
