"Ohh~ Y/N~" A very cheery voice called to you. You knew who it was You can tell from a mile away the thing is...you didn't like how she was saying your name. "Y-yeah Luz?" You asked, voice shaky. "I need you to come over to the Owl House after school today." She said with a sly smirk. "Why?" You asked a little worried about her request. "There's someone I want you to meet." Luz says with the same smirk but more evil looking. "Ok- wait- Is this another scheme to get me with someone?" You asked giving a half-glare to your friend."Noooooooooo...?" "Luz." "It's not." "Luz out of my love life." "But you need help." She stated, yeah, a little help not a strait up blind date. Plus, you have a little "Celebrity Crush". "*sigh* Fine... See Ya after school." You said walking off. You heard a little "YAS!" from behind you. {God this is goanna be awful}




{-AT THE OWL HOUSE-}

Luz said before rushing back inside and popping out again. "We're ready." Uhhmm... 'We?' " You asked before getting pulled inside. "Wait here!" Luz said as she pushed you to the couch and rushed to the other room. {All right Y/N it's fine. Have faith in her.} You thought to yourself trying to calm the nerves in your stomach. "Ok, Y/N meet Hunter." Luz said as she brought out a very handsome yet tired looking boy. He had ash blonde hair that was shaved underneath with a jagged forelock, a scar on his cheek, cute blush on his cheeks and pointy ears- which one of them looked sort-of scarred from a battle, and those eyes, those gorges dark magenta eyes. He gave you an awkward gapped-tooth smile before speaking, " U-uuhhhhmmm- Hi. I'm Hunter." He spoke nervously. {cute...} You thought. "I'm Y/N or just call me N/N, I don't really care." "Ok." Hunter said. "Hey, Hunter." Luz said. "Yeah?" "I need to take to you real' quick." "Oh, ok."

{IN THE OTHER ROOM}

{Narrators POV.}

"Hello new Guard." Kikimora said. "Hello Kikimora, what's the news for today?" Y/N asked. She was the new guard for the one and only Emperor Bolos. Why they needed more guards? No one knows, well maybe because of the "Owl Lady" but what do you know? You just need to guard the Emperor's throne room. One of the most important rooms in the whole place. "Not much, but that "Owl Lady" is getting on mine and the Emperor's nerves." Kikimora said clutching her small three fingered hands into fist's. "Miss Guard," One of the other guards said to you. "The Emperor wishes to see you." "Alright, I will be there soon." You said as you were bowing.

{AT THE EMPEROR'S THROHNE ROOM}

"Misses Guard," The Emperor said in his usual booming voice. {God, I wish people will stop calling me that} You thought. "You will be working with someone very important for a mission." He spoke. "Of Course, Emperor Bolos, but may I ask something?" You said. Emperor Bolos didn't usually just pair two people up for a mission. "Yes you may." He spoke. "Who will I be going with?" You asked. "Non other then The Golden Guard." He said as the Golden Guard walked out. {Oh. My. Emperor.!!!} You thought. "Hello new guard." He said. His voice was much more scrawnier then you expected, almost familiar... "Hello Golden Guard." "Alright now time for the mission you to." Bolos said.


"So... What's all about anyway Mister Golden Guard?" You asked trying to break the silence. "1st Don't call me that. 2nd We have to catch this 'thing'." He said. "What 'thing'? Like an animal?" You asked wondering what 'thing' he could be talking about. "It's like, a cat mixed with a lizard mixed with a bird." He said. "So a... ca-iz-ird?" You said trying to mixed the names to make it shorter. "Sure..." He said definitely giving you an odd look under the mask. "You know what? Let's just call it...0-X." You said smiling under your mask. "0-X? I guess that works." He said. "By the way, your voice sounds really familiar." He said. "Yours to." You said. "Can I show you something?" "Sure.." You said. He walked up to you and revealed his mouth. You... recognized it. That scar, the gapped teeth, pale skin. "Hunter..?"

"Hunter...?" The new guard said. That voice. The pitch of it, the way they say my name- wait they know my name. They seem familiar to her... "Lift up your mask- At least a bit." I spoke. It's got to be her, right? "Oh- K." She said lifting her mask to wear I can only see her nose and mouth. "Y/N? You're the new guard? For my uncle?" "Ye- Wait. Your uncle?!" "Not by blood." I spoke. "Oh ok- HOLY MOTHR OF THE EMPORER! WHAT IS THAT?!" She screeched. I turned around to see what it was and- "HOLY SH- I mean crap!" "Mama's boy. -~-" She mumbled. "I think that 'thing' is O-X." She said. "But it's DEFFINTALY not like the description you gave." She said pulling her mask back down. "Well to be fair, nobody describes anything like how it should be described." I said pulling down my mask and getting in a fighting stance. "True." She said. "How are we going to-" "EAT THIS SUCKA!" She screamed cutting me off. "Y/N! We need a-" I stopped mid-sentence. {What the... she's just hitting it with her staff.} "Umm. I could use some help here!" "Right sorry." I said jumping and using a fire spell on the "thing". "Nice! Now take this you- whatever!" She hollered casting a abomination spell. {Jeez that's a big abomination} I thought. "C'mon Kassie! Do your thing!" {She named her abomination? Such a child.} "ARRRRUUUHH!!! *mew*" 0-X said. "WAHHOOOO- wait. It 'mewed' " She said. "So, Kassie? Such an odd name for something like that." I said trying to see why she called it that. "I- uhm... I wasn't paying attention!" I apologized. "Uhg. New Guard! Watch where your going! Or I will have you fired-" "Kikimora." Hunter interrupted. "Oh Hello 'Golden Guard' how was the mission?" Kiki asked in the 'friendliest' voice she could muster. "It went well now if you excuse me we are going to see Belos." He said in a stern voice. "Well alright then. Go on." She said with the same voice. "New Guard let's go." He said. {Jeez, why is he scary like this?} I questioned myself. "Yes Golden Guard." I said.

"Guard, Golden Guard. How was the mission?" Emperor Belos asked. "The mission was successful Emperor Belos." Y/N stated. "Good, now Golden Guard." "Yes Unc- I mean Emperor." "Can you show the New Guard the garden? I know how much you love it there and they apparently love plant magic." He told me. I mean he wasn't lying, I love to hang out at the garden. And the library. "Of Course, Emperor, Come now New Guard." I stated. "Ok." She said.
