Z: Remember, we need 2 blend in until we find the crystal users
J: We know
A: We'll let you know if we find anything suspicious
Jack and Amber stuck to the crowd of students, following the path they were all on.
"This is the library," Cyclone said. "Lots of people come here to study, but I sometimes come here to nap." A few of the students chuckled, but Jack felt a piece of himself die with that joke.
"How long is this tour again?" Jack whispered.
"I don't know," Amber answered. "Maybe another half hour."
"As fancy as this school looks, this tour is so boring."
Bzzzt Bzzzt.
Z: I've got something
Z: My research says something about a secret basement somewhere on the campus. A perfect place for secret criminal activity
Z: See if you guys can find anything on that
"Finally, something exciting." Jack's excitement caught the attention of another as they neared the dorm buildings.
"It's not as impressive as you think," said Cyclone. "The rooms aren't that big and the bathrooms always reek of old soap."
"Ha, relax, Jack. I'm the scout," Amber said. "I'll be quick."
Sneaking away from the group, she escaped to the nearest bathroom and hid herself away in a stall. Alone at last, she left her physical body and floated off to explore the school.
"Let's see what I can find." Amber flew through the classrooms, observing the students and teachers at work. Everything seemed as casual as she was expecting. As Amber floated through the dance room, Samantha rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't hallucinating anything.
"Girls, I gotta go," Samantha said before packing her things and rushing out of the studio.
"Samantha! There you are!" Mr. Cord said. "I knew you'd still be here."
"Mr. Cord, I just saw a ghost!"
"A ghost?! Fascinating. Where?"
"It just flew through the dance studio. Heading towards the classrooms."
"Interesting. Let's go hunt a ghost!"
The headmaster led the way down the hall, his student following close behind. In the meantime, Amber floated out of the building to the library. There she was in awe at the multitude of space and books the structure had. Ascending up to the higher floors, she caught the attention of a student.
"Uuuuuh, please tell me you girls saw that ghost float past us," Summer said, stunned beyond belief.
"I didn't see anything."
"Yeah. Are you okay, Summer?'
"Yeah... I'm fine. I actually have to go. Gotta go pick up a book from a friend. I'll finish up the rest of my homework later." Summer packed her paper and books and descended down the staircase as fast as she could.
"Summer? Everything okay?" Cord asked at the bottom floor.
"Mr. Cord, thank goodness! I saw a ghost girl float up to the top floor!"
"A ghost you say? I'd like to see this for myself. Let's go!"
"Nuh uh! I'm not going anywhere near it!"
"Summer, you can't let me go alone. I need your help in finding it."
"Ugh, fine! But I'm keeping my distance!" Together the pair went up to face the spectral mystery at hand.
