All of the heroes regrouped in The Nexus Society headquarters. Invisia, Sofia, and Miya sat around a small lounge and rubbed towels against themselves in an effort to dry themselves from sea water.
"This is so exciting!" Invisia exclaimed. "We're actually here in The Nexus Society's lounge!"
"I can't believe Ms. Lily knew The Nexus Society this whole time," said Sofia. "Makes you think about what else she's been keeping from us."
"Right?" Miya was happy by the turn of events, but couldn't shake the feeling of something greater at hand.
The door leading into the lounge opened up. Lilac entered and beckoned her students to follow her. Together they entered the meeting hall where the big named heroes were sitting and waiting.
"Might I present: Invisia, Miya, and Sofia," Lily introduced. The girls awkwardly stood before the heroes trying to contain their excitement
"Thanks, Lilac," said Lucky. "Let's first start with-"
"Oh my gosh you're Lucky!" Invisia could no longer hold in her excitement. Her abilities fluctuated and she rapidly disappeared and reappeared throughout the room as she approached the heroes.
"Invisia!" Sofia snapped.
"You're Lucky!" she repeated. "Your powers of telekinesis are super strong! No one knows how you got your powers, but you're one the most powerful of The Nexus Society!"
"This kid certainly knows her stuff!" Nindai exclaimed. "I like her enthusiasm!"
"You're Nindai! The Silver Champion!" Invisia cheered. "I've heard stories of how your powers came from the stars above and that you once led a team of armored warriors to save the world time and time again!"
"That is all correct! You have done well with your research! It is very commendable!"
"Nindai, don't humor her. She's just a fangirl." The man in the grey business suit and platinum sunglasses scoffed and rested his chin on his arm, annoyed and tired of the show being put on.
"Oh my gosh, you're Kayde the reflective hero!" Invisia came running over, but the hero paid her very little attention. "Tell me, how fast does it take to travel between reflections? I bet it's fast! Faster than how Sofia can run."
"That's none of your business, kid," Kayde groaned.
"Lighten up, Kayde!" A young man with headphones resting around his neck patted his seat neighbor on the back. "Let the kid have her moment. Not often she gets to meet her heroes."
"Oh my gosh, you're Aux! The newest member of The Nexus Society!"
"The one and only," he replied with a charismatic smile. "Nice to meet you."
"This is so exciting!" Invisia squealed once more, giddy with joy.
In the blink of an eye, Sofia grabbed her and brought her back to the front of the room. "Sorry about that. She just really likes you guys."
"Well we are the greatest heroes of the world," Aux boasted.
"Regardless!" Nindai spoke up. "We can set aside the fanfare for another time! We have a more pressing matter to attend to!"
"Nindai is right," Lucky said. "Have a seat, girls." The students and their mentor took a seat at the table and zipped their lips.
"As we all know, the Hero Hunters have seemingly come out of hiding," Nindai started explaining. "Their mission to eradicate heroes everywhere remains the same. How they plan to do so, however, remains a great mystery."
