Taehyung sighed, resting his forehead on his knees.

He inhaled deeply, relaxing at the feeling of the cool fall air filling his lungs.

After he had been announced as crew member #4, time had frozen, he heard only the muffled sounds of his family's congratulatory cries but none of them stuck in his mind.

Once he had been shaken from his stupor he ran out the backdoor and down the hill to an all too familiar spot, a grassy area that he'd found was perfect for some peace and quiet.

A good place to be alone with your thoughts.

He was petrified, it was the last thing he wanted.

He was sure that he wanted nothing else but to stay right where he was, comfortable in his familiar home, with his familiar family, his familiar bed.

His routine.

He hated change and the fact that this was probably the single most drastic change anyone could imagine wasn't helping his screaming mind.

"Auuguhhhh..." he groaned, tossing his head back and staring at the sky.

It was windy today, he could see the ivory clouds shuffling quickly along, leaving their soft trails across the azure sky.

Usually, he'd find comfort in tracking the slow migratory patterns of the birds that took flight above him, but now he just felt a deep wave of melancholy knowing he'd soon have to leave it behind.

He closed his eyes once more in an attempt to quiet his raging mind but instead, small tears began to pool in his eyes, running down his tanned cheeks and eventually finding home in the soft grass.

Taehyung hated people seeing him cry, but when he was alone; when he was alone he appreciated the soft comfort tears lent him.

They were one of the only constants in a world of turmoil.

Soft footsteps alerted him of the presence of someone approaching and he quickly wiped his tears on his sleeves, subconsciously saying his goodbyes to the small friends he'd become so used to.

He sniffed hard and turned in the direction of the steps, eyes quickly focused on a small tuft of bouncing black hair headed his way.

He put on a small smile as Minjee came further into view.

The young girl slowly sat down next to him on the cold grass, gently placing her head on her older brother's shoulder.
