Jasper pov

We turned to see a middle aged woman standing at the door in a business suit. "come in Annie" Bella said and Annie smiled at her coming in. She saw us and her eyes widened slightly, her emotions a mixture of awe and surprise. "These are the Cullens Annie and this is jasper " Bella said pointing to me. She turned to me and looked me up and down. "good choice isa. Where did you find this guy?" Annie said. We all stiffened not wanting Bella to be reminded of the past.

But to our surprise, Bella laughed, "they are the Cullens Annie, remember?"

Annie's eyes widened and she had the same reaction as Justin. She was also told the story like Justin. She nodded and called out to Bella, "come on isa. "

"God hold your horses woman. I m coming " Bella said frowning. She came Nd Sat by me. Annie laughed at her frown. She then sobered up and continued, "well the little bomb from yesterday sure had the desired effects. The media liked the look of jasper and you together. Some people did say that maybe he was with you for money or fame. But most of them liked your pair. " the money and fame statement made me frown and Bella noticed. She squeezed my hand, "I know it's not like that jasper. Chill. " I smiled and side hugged her nodding. She sighed and laid her head on my chest as I moved my hand to her waist and let it stay there.

Bella pov

I sighed and lay my head on jasper's chest as he moved his hand to my waist and let it stay there. I felt content and happy. Annie eyed us suspiciously,"are u sure you r just pretending? " she said. I rolled my eyes but nodded her to continue. "you are going to go to the dinner today. It is a charity party and most of Manhattan's who's who will be there. It's the best chance for you to portray yourself as taken Bella. " she got up saying that. I nodded getting up and giving her a hug. She patted my head and left. I turned to the Cullens and said, "I have to go out for a while. We will fir the dinner at 7. " they nodded.

Jasper pov

Bella left and I let out a sigh sitting down. "u sHould tell her major" Peter said.

"I can't Peter. She has a life now. I rather be just a friend than have her reject me and lose her forever "

"what are u talking about Peter, Jasper?"

I took a deep breath and sighed,"Bella is my mate" gasps went through the room. Everyone smiled and congratulated me. "then when will you tell her? " esme asked me.

"I don't know "

"son we r not telling you to mark her or make her yours. But be her mate. Bella has gone through a lot that she has created a wall around herself. Break it and give us our old Bella. " Carlisle said.
