In the beginning of chapter 1 of Animal Farm by George Orwell, the animals are gathering in a barn to listen to the Old Major after Mr.Jones has gone to sleep because he's too drunk. As soon as everyone is settled, the Old Major sits in front of multiple kinds of animals and begins to describe his dream. He begins to speak, but instead of his weird dream, he talks to the animals about how miserable their lives are. He says that humans don't do anything but still get what they want, when they have to work very hard just to be killed at the end. He proposed an idea of fighting back against humans, but with some specific rules. Such as not becoming like a human; humans are enemies, animals are friends; and the most important thing: everyone is equal. After the agreement of most of the animals, he finally begins to talk about his dream, which is a dream about a song, a song that he heard a long time ago. Later, he sings it for all the animals and everyone begins to sing it with him. It causes an uproar which wakes Mr.Jones , and he shoots in the sky. At the end of the chapter everyone goes back to sleep.
