I popped a couple of my homemade relax gummies into my mouth, eager to kick off my night of relaxation. Rolling my head slowly I stood and stretched languidly, like a cat after a long catnap. The light from the setting sun filled my living room, bathing my various plants and flowers in an orange glow.
"You are coming along beautifully, darling." I caressed the delicate purple and pink petals on the flower closest to me using my quirk to coax her into a healthy bloom.
I had the ability to control plants, even create new ones. The more positive my emotions the more lavish the plant life. A great quirk for either side but the hero/villian dynamic was not for me. I liked my quiet neutral life. I offered advice or assistance to both sides for my own protection but it never went farther than that. My plants were great home remedies for villains who couldn't go to a hospital or quirk strengtheners for weaker heroes who just needed help to get by.
I grabbed a bottle of red wine and walked to my bathroom intent on gathering supplies for a long soak. I grabbed my various bath salts, a bottle of essential oil, a container of bubbles and a few candles. As I began to pull the cork out of the bottle the doorbell rang snapping me out of my thoughts and I froze, confused. I didn't have any appointments tonight which was the whole reason this was my chill night. The doorbell rang again making me bite my lip.
'Shit!' I thought to myself as I made my way to the door, still holding the bottle of red wine and my wine glass. 'This is fine. Just a quick few words and I'll be alone again.' I took a deep breath and opened the door.
On the other side of the door stood my worst, or best, case scenario. Dabi was standing on my doorstep in black jeans and a white tee under his black trench coat. 'Fuck.' Was the only thing my brain could come up with.
"Hello, y/n." He looked at the bottle but said nothing about it just raised a brow, amused at my silence.
"Well, well, well. What brings you to my door? I didn't miss an appointment did I?" I stood back and ushered him inside. I couldn't just be rude. I looked on appreciatively as he walked past me and inside my home. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
"I'm here for the League." He turned to look at me. "something for general injuries?"
"Ah." I kicked the door closed. "This will take a second. Um, would you like some wine?"
He nodded so I poured a bit into the glass before sneaking a hefty swig from the bottle myself. I handed him the glass and set the bottle down before heading into the kitchen.
"I had heard about the fight between the League and heroes." I said absentmindedly as I bent over, moving around various jars of ointment. "Keigo was here last night to try out this new sprout I whipped up to reverse the decay effect. Ah, found it!"
I popped up and turned, squeaking softly in surprise. Dabi was directly in front of me. He was close enough for me to see the stain of red on his lips from the wine. I could smell his heady scent of dark spices and I wanted to drown in it.
"First name basis with chicken wing, y/n?" he raised a brow at me and the rasp in his voice made me clench with desire. "I don't like the idea of him here with you...alone."
"U..um what? Not...it's not like that..." I stammered, knowing full well I needed to get him out of here right now or I was going to find out what happens if I ran my tongue across his scars. "and even if it was I am a grown woman with needs of her own, Dabi."
Dabi still hadn't moved away from me, the dominance rolling off of him in waves, making me twitch with anticipation. I felt my quirk reach out and touch my plants, causing them to bloom and grow in response to the positive effect he was having on me. My home was going to be an indoor rainforest at this rate.
