My eyes continued to water until tears were streaming down my face as I stared down at the man who saved my life.

I saw him aching in pain, trying to clutch into his wound. His sharp fangs grit so hard he was even causing himself to bleed.

I could feel my hands shaking on the sides of me. I felt utterly useless and unsure of what to do.

It took me a second to come back to reality. The fact he did not end up that way alone. As I remembered the other person who still remained in the room

My teeth gritted and eyebrows furrowed as my eyes shot up towards the woman. I could feel my heart beat quicken as rage started to take over.

"Wh-why would you do that? HE WAS A FATHER!"

"Oh no!" She shook her head dramatically, cupping her face. "A father? How could I do such a thing!?" Her façade quickly dropped as she dropped one hand down and propped the other on her hip. "I already knew that sweet cheeks. He begged me for the job to support her. To bad he had some emotional ties." She started to pout and whine "he was my strongest guy too."

"I don't care to listen to you lady. Seems their is no humanity left in you" I scoffed, anger boiling inside. 'That's right, she aimed a gun at a child before, she'd have no mercy for anyone.' I thought.

"Aww you don't care to chat?" She pouted, and held up her gun, pointing at it. "Let me at least tell you these are no regular bullets. These are designed to break through the toughest skin, so your little buddy there is bleeding out cause he was so ignorant to think he was bullet proof."

My eyes tracked back to the man, clutching his side,  curled up in pain. I sighed, hesitantly removing my tank top and placing it on the mans side to block out some of the bleeding.

The woman released an obnoxious whistle, which just made me even more appalled at her existance.

"Such a young kiddo, yet such a cutie! It's such a shame you had to be on the opposing side, I would've loved to sugar mama all over you!" She did a little dance, making her hair fall in her face.

My face irked in disgust. I felt ashamed of my own body, my insecurities creeping up and feeling so exposed and vulnerable.

"You really are repulsive." I murmured.

"I'm a criminal sweetheart." She started to stalk towards me, dropping the gun to her side.

As much as I wanted to retract and run away, I froze.

"Let me give you a little life lesson. You're a beautiful, young, and strong girl, yet when it comes to confidence, you lack. You're doubting yourself. And that makes you weak."

She moved her hair away from her eyes, revealing a yellow glow admitting.

"If you're wondering what my quirk is, it's called 'shame.' Once someone starts to feel it, I can freeze them." It was difficult to read her expression, but she didn't entirely seem as cocky as she once was.

"So you made those comments to make me feel worse about myself?"

"You're easy to read. A typical teenager hoping to hide, feeling ill about her body. Why else would you have another top on." She continued to strut, walking circles around me as she talked before stopping in front of my face. "I have no shame, no regret."

"Congratulations." I scoffed" You sound like my mother. An ignorant woman chasing a rich man who wants nothing to do with her. Only difference is you seem to have more going for you."

"You have more of a backbone than I thought kid." She smiled, then rested her hand on my face. "You're gonna do well for yourself."

A sound sirens went off as colors of blue and red flickered from outside. The woman dropped her hand from my face and grabbed my hand placing something in it. Still keeping her smile as police ran inside, and cuffed her.

"(L/N)! What did I tell you about staying back?!" Endeavors voice boomed.

I looked down, stuffing whatever I was handed into the small dress pocket. "I had to.. she was going to shoot a little kid..."

"Well you caused a huge commotion! You're lucky all the citizens stood up for you or else you'd be in big trouble with the police!" The large man's face was irritated as he scolded me.

"I refuse to stand by as innocent people are being threatened to be hurt sir.." I stood tall, staring eye to eye with the man.

His eyes widened in surprise. I was honestly shocked at my own actions as well but yet my confidence didn't falter.

He groaned and rubbed his eyes "Not a lot of damage happened. I'm surprised at how professional the scene results look. Honestly there isn't much I can critique other than the fact to didn't listen to my direct order." He shook his head. "I'm letting you off with a warning this time, but don't make it a habit of not listening understand?"

"Yes sir, I understand..." I mumbled.

"Alright, lets go, we'll let the police take over from here."

"Just a moment sir, please.." I called before walking over to the monster man who was now being picked up and cuffed by police.

"Ah, it seems I may have to hold up on giving my daughter some papa time." He gave me a saddened smile.

"Hopefully soon you'll get to see her. After you recover."

"Afraid not little lady." A cop chimed in. "We've been trying to track these guys down for a while and this one has been with them for the most of it. He is probably gonna go away for a long time."

I wanted to protest but the monster man chimed in. "It's okay, I deserve it for all I've done and those I've hurt.. She'll at least have her mama.."

I could see a tear going down his cheek. My heart broke for the man, as all he wanted was to take care of his child. He was what I wished I had in a parent so I couldn't help but mourn for their relationship.

The cops started to drag him away. Something took over in me and I ran towards him, hugging his side. "You're a great father! You just did a bad thing." I brought myself back, wiping away tears that were forming in my eyes.

"And you're a great kid. You're parents as lucky to have you as a daughter." He shot my a fang filled grin.

I could see Endeavor in the distance, the side eye he was sending in our direction told me he was able to hear the conversation. I almost wanted to say he looked ashamed of himself but there's no way.. right?

I hugged my sides, feeling small under the gaze of the hero. But still gave a tearful grin to the gatorlike man.

"Okay bud, time to go now." The cop spoke out, giving a little nudge.

I watched in somber silence as the man was placed into a cop car and it drove away.

A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I let my hands drop. I felt a lump in my pocket. 'the paper' I thought to myself.

I hesitantly reached my hand into my pocket, slowly pulling out the balled up paper.

My hands shook as I unraveled it. What could this woman have possibly written that she couldn't have said out loud to me.

I could see the lines of black ink as the words started to emerge.

"Stay Good."
