I woke up to my alarm blaring next to me head.

I tried to roll over to turn it off but something was preventing me. After a quick glance, I noticed my wings popped out while I was asleep.

They often did that due to a lot of discomfort or strain. So pretty much every night they would.

A heaving sigh escaped past my lips due to the thought of having to put them back. I quickly tucked them in a pressed the snooze button on my alarm that read '5:30 am.'

Every day, even on the weekends, this would be the time I had to get up at.

I took off my pajamas to put on work our gear. I knew if my mother caught me slacking off, I'd have hell to pay.

"I have to be back by 8 to make mom her breakfast.. that gives me two hours to go to the park and work out..."

I quickly put on my shoes and left the house.

I ran to the nearest park and did various exercises.

A few people were around. Mostly couples or families with young children.

A figure passed by with a black hoodie covering most of their figure. They walked with a slouch.

They glanced over at me for a moment. I noticed their piercing red eyes which just screamed anger.

I snapped myself out of the confused trance and went back to exercising.

It wasn't much and I found myself still having a lot of energy.

After finding my way back home, I washed off and started breakfast.

Thumps could be hear approaching from the stairs.

"Better be done now." My mother yawned.

"Y-yes, your french toast and grits are done. The coffee is just finishing brewing now.." I placed her food in front of her.

"Good. No cream or sugar today. I'm wanting black coffee today." She shoved a mouthful of grits in her mouth. (Like your soul you trash woman.)(...When you dislike your own OC)

"Yes, ma'am." I spoke as I poured her coffee into a cup.

"So, did you go out training?" She asked as she placed her elbows on the table and watched me intently."

"Yes, ma'am. I ran to the park, exercised there for an hour and a half then ran back." I explained as I placed the coffee in front of her.

"Hm. Well done." She dove into the coffee as if it was her lifeline.

Despite her harsh behavior and criticisms towards me, she would occasionally give small praises.

I stared at her for a bit in disbelief from her calmness in the moment.

"You're dismissed. Get to work." She quickly shooed me off.

I bowed and jogged out to the backyard where I did most of my training.

Time Skip:

By the time the sun started to set, I was soaked in my own sweat and out of breath from how deeply I was pushing myself.

I grabbed a towel and threw it over my shoulder, wiping off sweat on my face as I walked inside.

"You're done for today?" My mom questioned from the living room.

"I wanted to wash up to make dinner, ma'am." I explained.

"Hurry up then. I'm starving." her hand popped up from the couch and started waving it around demanding like.
