A/N: hello guys! :) here's the second part.
I need to thank you all for reading, liking or adding this book to your library it means a lot to me. I'll be working on the next part soon, it's probably gonna be the last one regarding this particular story. | All characters are 18+

The boy's brown eyes moved around the room with difficulty as he woke up, blinded by the sun. He groaned and turned around in order to hide from it. Steve's arm landed on the bed sheets, instead of Y/N's body. And technically, it shouldn't be weird but after their last conversation... Everything seemed suspicious to him. Steve's heart started pounding. He sat down against the bedhead and looked at the bedroom's floor, searching for Y/N's clothes from the previous night. They were still there.

He removed the covers and walked straight to the bathroom, but she wasn't in there either. He went downstairs, freaking out. "Y/N!" he called in the hallway. "Y/N!" He walked to the front door, grabbed the handle, it was closed. He looked around the empty house in worry. "Y/N!"

He turned around and bumped into someone. "Relax, it's me." Y/N's body collapsed into his. "What's going on, Steve?" He was out of breath. "Are you okay? You–"

Steve's arms wrapped themselves around her waist. "I thought something bad had happened." He held her tight, trying to calm down. "Shit– I was worried."

"I– I'm fine." she said. "I went downstairs to get some water." Y/N felt bad, she had never seen him so scared before. "If this is my last day on earth. I want it to be as normal as possible..."

Y/N was cursed, and it wasn't something you could simply ignore. But they both wanted to be together, to enjoy each other's company as much as they could. Steve couldn't ignore the fact that the woman he loved could disappear at any moment. However, nothing mattered to him besides doing anything he could to make her happy.

They looked at each other. "So... A normal day, huh?" Steve smirked, pretending to think about it. "We should go back to bed. Or the couch." He kissed the corner of her mouth. "Or the shower..." Her cheek, her neck. "The kitchen's counter..."

"Steve..." Y/N blushed hard. "You went from worried to horny in five minutes." He snorted. "But–" She looked down. "I'm even more pathetic for enjoying it."

Throughout the day, the two lovers decided to leave the house. Steve had to convince his girlfriend, she didn't want to see anyone, especially the kids. But obviously, the brown haired boy had other plans. He thought it was messed up to hide it from their friends, they deserved to know the truth as well. As soon as Y/N got in the shower, Steve went downstairs to call Dustin. The teen was angry and disappointed, he hadn't heard from both of them in days, so much had happened already. Dustin didn't feel like telling it over the phone. So, they both agreed to meet at the Wheeler's.

Now, they were on their way to the house, listening to music as Steve's free hand moved to Y/N's thigh. God, she wanted this moment to last forever.

"Head Over Heels" by Tears For Fears started playing on the radio. "I really like this song..." Y/N said, looking at the window. "Do you remember the first time–"

"Last year at two in the morning, in my garage." Steve said. "We were coming back from Tommy's party." Y/N glanced at him with a smirk. "We were drunk, laughing and screaming the lyrics in each other's faces in my old car."

"We weren't even officially together at the time." Y/N added. "It was our first date and we didn't even kiss–"

Steve laughed. "You had messy hair from dancing the whole night. It smelled like strawberries and cigarettes. Listen, Y/N... I'll never be able to forget anything about that day. Because–" He glanced at her, embarrassed. "I fell in love."

This memory and confession made her want to cry. "I don't even know what to say. I don't even know how to act anymore." She breathed in and out. "It's complicated. I can't say anything or it'll sound too dramatic or depressing and–" She rolled her eyes. "We don't need that."

"Y/N..." Steve sighed. "You're allowed to feel this way about us, about everything. I don't wanna be pessimistic or negative either. But it doesn't mean it's easy to pretend everything's fine." He turned to the right, using it as an opportunity to look at her. "It's not easy for me to not think about what could happen to you."

"Unfortunately, it is real." She looked at the sky as they kept driving. "Don't see it as a possibility, Steve. It's gonna make things ten times more complicated for you when–"

"That's enough." He shrugged. "We don't have to talk about this right now. I was just trying to–" He sighed again. "Nevermind..."

They both remained silent, the music still playing in the background. Now, Steve was even more anxious to tell Y/N where they were actually going.
