Your heat was soon called and as you lined up you could her your dad, Poppy, Griff, Marlon, and your mom cheering for you and Bodhi .You were all lined up then you guys took off into the water.
*After the heat*
They called winners and You placed in first and Bodhi placed second. You guys dropped your boards and hugged. Your dad, Mom, Poppy, Griff, and Marlon all ran up to you guys and hugged you both. Your mom and dad hugged Bodhi while Griff and Marlon hugged you.After your parents where done Griff and Marlon congratulated Bodhi then went back to the team. You all four hugged.
Announcer: Can we have Shay and Bodhi Mercer,Marlon Sousa and Ari Gibson to the podiums please
You nodded then you all walked over to the podiums.They put you and Ari on the first place podiums then they put Marlon and Bodhi on the second place podiums beside you guys. They took photos while you and Ari held up your trophies while Marlon and Bodhi held up a metal.After the pictures you all got down and talked. Marlon stood beside you and Bodhi stood beside Ari.
Ari: So you're and Anchor cove rider now huh
Marlon: Yep
Bodhi: Well I'm proud of you sis
Ari: Me too matter of fact I'm proud of both of you
Marlon: Thanks bro

Marlon: Alright you ready to go
You: Yeah
You guys go to walk off when Bodhi calls after you.
Bodhi: There's a party at Poppy's to celebrate me pl;acing second I would greatfully appreciate it if you guys showed up
You: Ok
You guys started heading to his car.
Marlon: We aren't going are we
You: Why would we I have to celebrate with my team mate and your club comes first so you should join us
Marlon: But Shay that's your sister
You: Yeah my sister who didn't visit me while I was in the hospital for three months
Marlon: You have a point
You: Either we celebrate with them, wer celebrate with the team, or we could just celebrate just the two of us
Marlon: I think we should celebrate just the two of us
You: Ok what do you have in mind
(BTW Bodhi and Marlon aren't together at this point cause of him switching teams)
Marlon: I say we go on my jet-ski tomorrow before training
You: I'm not even going to training tomorrow
Marlon: Ok
You: There's another comp in about a week I wonder what its for it's a bit ways away
Marlon:Yeah
You: I wounder why there's another comp when we just won the finals I mean usually they give us at least 3 weeks after the finally of a comp to train more and get better for the next*putting your board in his mom's car
Marlon: Yeah maybe it's just a comp for fun*putting his board int the car*
You guys got in still talking when his mom interupts.
M's Mom: I'm so proud of you too especially you Marlon when was the last time you even placed in the finally of a comp
Marlon: Mom not now
M's mom: Ok
You guys left for you house.
*Skip drive*
You got out so did Marlon.He grabbed his board and you grabbed your's then you guys walked inside with you.After you shut the door he started talking.
Marlon: Why didn't you stay if your dad is there
You: Mom's there too so I left Bodhi to handle the argument
Marlon: That's noit good for her
You: I know but I used to do it growing up so
Marlon:Oh is that why your here
You: Yeah
You walked over to your closet. You grabbed a sun dress and went into the bathroom and changed.You walked out and over to Marlon.
You: DO you think your mom will drop us off to get ice cream
Marlon: Yeah
You guys left for the car.You guys got in and asked to be taken to the ice cream shop.
*Skip drive*
Marlon's mom dropped you guys off then left.You guys bought ice cream and walked around.
Marlon: So what's it like being back ing Shore Haven and on Anchor COve's surf team at the same time
You: Exciting we are supposed to go surf stairway tomorrow but i don't think I will considering last time i messed up my leg cause I hit it on a rock pretty hard
Marlon: I haven't been there since my friend and I went to go but instead of jumping with him he jumped on his own and was in the hospital for almost a year
You: DId you go see him
Marlon: I wanted to but I could never work up to it
You: It's ok my own dad nor my own sister came to visit me while I was there
Marlon:Oh i'm sorry
