I hear the light splat of rain over Kirishima's stomping as we run. It's coming from behind us, but it's starting to catch up.
After a few moments of nothing, Kirishima finally notices the rain. "WOAH!" He screams out as he turns his head to look back. As he does I feel the first drizzle of rain hit my arm. "IT'S RAINING! THAT'S CRAZY IT WAS JUST CLEAR OUT AND SO BEAUTIFUL BUT NOW IT'S RAINING! JEEZ!"
His screaming hurts my ears, but I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me. "C'mon let's pick it up a little. We are only about 5 minutes away and the rain is going to get harder."
"YEAH OKAY!"
We both pick up our speed as the rain starts to hit us harder and more often. It's a cold rain which kind of sucks. I really only like the rain during the summer. I am surprised Kirishima wasn't super happy that it started raining, but he probably doesn't feel good still. That thought pains my stomach so I pick up my speed even more. Kirishima loves the rain and he was always the first one outside when it started raining, but now he doesn't want to be out here; his day really was bad.
He has to catch up to me a bit, but he does and a few minutes later we reach the dorm building. We run all the way until we get under the awning. We stand underneath it, out of the rain. I shake my body to get as much water off of me as I can and Kirishima does the same.
As I finish shaking I look up and meet Kirishima's eyes. We both pause, staring at each other and I can feel my body start to heat up, ever so slightly. Kirishima starts to laugh and I quickly hide a slight smile.
"C'MON MAN! LET'S HEAD INSIDE!"
"Yeah, okay."
I open the front door and he walks in. I make sure to wipe my shoes off on the doormat so tracks aren't left at the entrance, but because Kirishima doesn't do the same so there are wet footprints leading from the front door all the way to the stairs. Nobody else is downstairs, but we head straight for our floor anyways. Not that I want to interact with anyone else.
Kirishima doesn't say anything, which is surprising, as we walk up the stairs and reach our floor.
"The rain." He says. His voice is sad again and he is somewhat slouching. "A shitty way to end this shitty day." He takes a deep breath and looks down at his feet. "Thanks again Bakugo. I really appreciate it. I needed someone, so thanks. I, uhh, I was going to go to the bathroom to grab a towel, do you want one?"
"Chill out drama queen, it's just rain. Anyways I have a couple of towels in my room so you don't have to go down to the bathrooms."
Kirishima looks up at my words and he has a small smile on his face. "REALLY! SO CAN I COME IN YOUR ROOM THEN?"
I sigh, "Yeah, whatever. Let's just stop dripping in the hallway." I open my door and Kirishima follows me into my room with the big dumb smile he always has on his face. I grab a couple of towels from my closet and throw one over to Kirishima, who is looking around like it was the first time he had ever seen a room before. "What are you looking around like that for?"
"I DON'T KNOW. I JUST HAVE NEVER SEEN YOUR ROOM BEFORE THAT'S ALL. IT IS PRETTY NICE DUDE. VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED. I GUESS THAT MAKES SENSE."
"What is that suppose to mean?" I say, a little angrily, as I dry myself off.
"WELL YOU ARE PRETTY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED SO IT MAKES SENSE THAT YOUR ROOM WOULD ALSO BE CLEAN AND ORGANIZED."
"Yeah, whatever." We both take off our shirts and I hang them up in my bathroom. "Did you want one of my shirts?"
"NO IT'S OKAY. I DON'T LIKE WEARING SHIRTS ANYWAYS. BUT, UHHHH, THANKS FOR THE TOWEL, I GUESS I'LL GET GOING THEN."
We stare at each other for a moment, neither of us saying anything. It is a very tender moment, but it doesn't last long. "Well, it's Friday so...we should play video games or something, if you want."
