It was now the start of Winter break and everyone who was visiting family had already left. Aaliyah was staying on campus as she had to get ready for work later that day so she can make a little extra cash in case there's an emergency. The job she works at was none other than waitressing at a restaurant.

The owner of the restaurant was very kind and understanding, telling her if she ever needed anything, their ears are open to listen.

Aaliyah loved that about the owner: she was a kind old woman who had been the owner of the restaurant chain for many years. Aaliyah was excited to start her shift at work and started getting ready. She had already laid out her clothes for the day.

She got a photo from Alina on her cell phone.

She opened the text message and looked at the photo her friend had sent her.

:Just about to board the plane soon:. was the message that was sent with it.

:Lucky. I'm stuck going to work. Trade me!:. She chuckled as she sent that and looked up, only to see a yellow Camero with black racing stripes sitting near the sidewalk she was walking on.

She stopped and stared at it. Reminds me of Bumblebee, she thought.

She hastily shook her head and sighed as she tore her gaze away from the car. "They're not real. None of them are. Justin's right; I'm being delusional for loving them." She started running away from the car as she needed to get to work.

She soon arrived to work and saw the owner outside.

"Hi, Mrs. Garcia." She waved at the old woman who acted like a grandmother to her. She was a wise old lady who knew what to say at everything that was said to her. If someone talked bad, Aaliyah knew Mrs. Garcia wasn't afraid to clap back just as much.

The mentioned woman smiled at her. "Hello, Aaliyah! You look so lovely today," she greeted.

"Thank you." The younger woman smiled as she looked at her choice of clothes. It consisted of a black off the shoulder top, dark blue jeans and black heeled boots.

Mrs. Garcia gave a final smile, before they both entered the restaurant.

Aaliyah had noticed the stage inside the restaurant was set up and she wondered who was singing today since it was already noon.

One of the co-workers waved hello to her.

She waved back and walked up to him. "Hey, Jace. Who's singing today?" she asked the white skinned, black-haired male with dark forest green eyes as soon as she stopped right in front of him.

"Not sure today," Jace replied, rubbing his head.

Aaliyah nodded her head and walked off to the backroom to change into her uniform.

"Aaliyah, can I speak to you?" Mrs. Garcia asked.

The young woman walked out after putting her clothes in her bag and walked up to the older woman. "Yes, Mrs. Garcia. What is it?" She smiled.
