Chapter 22 *CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY (Part 1)*

Christmas is coming up and everyone started to do what they were supposed to do, Practice for their upcoming performance in front of not only the public, and national T.V but also the Japanese Royal Family as well.

U.A Has decided to give them matching outfits so they would look presentable on camera and in front of people. These were just your typical Christmas outfits but in green and occasionally in red. The school had also decided to let Izuku first sing as this was instructed by the Royal Family followed by their group performance which is yet to be announced to them. They all agreed to the plan and started to do their vocal warmups and also help Izuku in his.

"So what are you going to sing Deku-kun? It's a big responsibility for you to have. To sing solo in front of the Royal Family!, It's Wild!" Uraraka shouted not containing her excitement, everyone also asked him as they too were excited and interested as to what the greenette is going to sing.

Not too long after thinking, Izuku answered.

"The rational thing to sing, Oh holy night"  To the other's surprise he answered it nonchalantly as if he was bored. He didn't look up at the class as he continued to look down at his phone, His faced changes to look like he reads something but the class didn't disturb him as it may be something important so they continued to talk about what song they're going to sing.

At the end of the day, they decided to sing  Paradise by the Dashboard Light by the band Meat Loaf, as they were going to prepare and already printed the lyrics Aizawa burst through the common areas carrying a stack of paper before placing them in front of the table slightly scarring Izuku as he wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings as of the moment.

"Slight changes, The Royal Family especially the Emperor loves ABBA so Nezu has decided for all of you to sing Dancing Queen" Aizawa then proceeded to hand out the papers he was carrying that were actually the lyrics for the song. Almost everyone complained about the sudden change, especially Bakugo who actually suggested the first song. For Izuku it wasn't a big deal as this song really is one of the easiest to sing to. After a bit of bickering the class finally settled with the change and started to practice, It's a good thing that the whole dormitory is padded with soundproof insulators so no one from the nearby dorm buildings could get annoyed.

Izuku continued to look into his phone while practicing, he really doesn't need the lyric sheet, in fact, the majority of them don't need it as this song is always played by their parents and other old people that love it the group. What was Izuku looking at his phone in the first place? It's his friend from France, he's currently tracking their plane now and is currently now in the middle of the flight, they will be expected to land on December 24 the day of their performance this really made Izuku really stressed as they have planned this meeting for a very long time now and because of the delays that their plane had it kept pushing back, but they're really nothing they can do about it so let's just wait and see what would happen at December 24.

DECEMBER 24

It was the day of their performance and everyone started to panic the girls started to put on their makeup the boys also started to fix their hair and put on a little bit of makeup. the bus to the royal palace was already outside the school waiting for them this also includes Aizawa, and Toshinori, Iida was also on the bus waiting for his classmates, this also includes Tokoyami who doesn't really sleep at night so he's able to get ready very early, Koda because he just follows the rules and Izuku who didn't get a chance to sleep. eventually, everyone got on the bus with Mina, and Hagakure being the last ones to enter having struggled to put on their false eyelashes.

Arrive not too long after, they were all looking at the Moto-Akasaka Palace panning them and taking pictures of these place as the majority of the place is off limits to the public but for occasions, just like this, the family opens the place up. A stage was being constructed at the front of the palace, seats were being placed and cameras were being set up from the different stations in and out of Japan.
