{Chapter 2: Search}

[Lloyd's POV]

The school day was over and the sun had set again, tonight we would look for any serpentine.

"Shouldn't we tell Sensei about this?" Zane asked as we searched for any more of those shadowy serpentine from roof tops in our ninja outfits.

"Not until we know more. He doesn't need to worry about this right now, my uncle is busy enough already." I told him, "Everyone split up. We'll cover more ground."

Everyone ran into different directions, jumping from roof top to roof top. I scanned the main street again. Lights glowed brightly in their paper lanterns, while sounds of joy came from the people bellow.

I sighed and continued on. Deciding to search on the ground I made my way down to the floor of an ally, I landed on the ground with a thud.

I walked quietly in the shadows, watching for anything that moved. The street I walked out to was empty from any light other than streetlamps.

I wandered into one of the other allies. Nothing. The place was almost completely silent, the only noise was my footsteps and distant voices from the street I'd seen earlier. 

After a while I was starting to lose hope.

"I wonder if the others are having any luck..." I grumbled.

// ummmm sooooo.... it's been 5 months since I wrote this chapter (it was Oct 10, 2022 it is now March 9, 2023)... and I'm planning on canceling this.

I might rewrite in the future but probably not. I never had the story laid out and I don't know how I'll continue this. Sorry readers who actually thought i would continue something for once in my life.
