[George's POV]

I sneeked up to my house seeing it flooded with officers I went closer to the officer talking to my parents "Where do you think your son might be?" The officer said holding a notebook and pen "I don't know but he has been entering that forest alot recently..." My dad replied with a stern and straight face glancing at the forest every few minutes.

"Didn't George say he made a friend there...?" My mum said face full of worry, I wanted to move closer but instead tripped I caught myself before I fell, But my parents and the officer clearly noticed me.

"GEORGE!" My mum yelled she let go of my dad and ran to me and pulled me into a hug "My baby where did you go!?" My mum was frantically asking me questions until my dad pulled her away from me then the officer walked up to me "I heard you have a friend in that forest may we meet him or her?" The officer asked in a steady and soft tone. I thought for a while then decided not to I promised I would keep him secret.

George:No, He is my imaginary friend!

Officer 1:Then why do you keep entering that forest.

George:It's pretty and fun there!

I was getting anxious they wouldn't believe my lies since the officer had a stern and scary look on his face "Ma'am we will do a search of that forest maybe 3 miles into the forest to see if your son is hiding something would that be okay?" The officer turned to my mum "Yes." My mum replied her gaze shifting to me.

Officer 1:Alright we'll get on with it.

"Wait, Mum why do they need to search I'm not hiding anything!" My voice was full of concern and worry as I was scared they would find out about Clay "Don't worry dear it's probably just a precaution." My mum replied with a straight look but soft enough to relieve me. But not by a whole lot.

[No one's POV]

George's parents dragged him into his room locking him in while the police searched the forest at a 3 mile radius he was thrashing his arms around protesting that there was no need to do so, He was watching attentively in the balcony of his room hoping his friend didn't get spotted or caught—Hours later the police went to his house and reported that they didn't see anything he was relieved yet scared that the other male ran away.

He fell asleep with a frown hoping his parents would still allow him to go out.

-The Next Day-

George's eyes shot up awake he got up quickly and wore a simple plain hoodie and jeans it was fairly cold so he didn't mind. He rushed down and saw his parents eating on the table "Morning dear!" She said with
a smile that could bring joy to a sad puppy "Hey son." His dad also said with a small smile his voice stern and soft "Hi mum and dad!" George said to try and sound happy but he wouldn't cheer up until he knows if his friend is okay.

Vincent:Come here bud and eat.

George:Yes dad.

George ate blankly before he knew it his plate was empty he stood up and placed his plate in the sink he was about to leave again until his mum spoke "Dear, I know the officer said you aren't hiding anything but please be careful..." His mum spoke eyebrows furrowed with worry in her voice "Yes mum I promise I will."
He replied with a smile knowing his parents allowed him to continue going out he dashed out of the door and ran to the forest once again.
