Jen p.o.v.
"My thumb hurts." I complained while playing the guitar. Julie and I have been practicing our new song for like 3 hoursover and over.
"Fine. We'll have a break for 30 minutes." she said and took a sip of water. "Wanna look through my mom's old stuff?" Julie asked and pointed up to where all the stuff
"Sure." I answered. So we climbed up the ladder, sat down and both of us opened one bag. After a few "Look how cute" 's and "What's this supposed to be?" 's, I found a CD.
Sunset Curve.
"Hey Julie, do you mind if I put the CD in the stereo? We can listen to their songs while we look through the stuff." Julie barely looked at the CD but agreed. So I put the CD in.
First track. Now or never.
It started off good.
Take off
Last stop
Countdown till we blast open the top
Face first
Full charge
Electric hammer to the heart
But then there was this loud shouting.
It got louder. And louder. And louder.
I immediately turned it off.
"Why'd you turn it off? That was a good song." Julie protested. "It was horrible." I frowned. Julie just shrugged and went back to looking through her mom's clothes. After finding a few tops that Julie let me keep, she decided to go eat something. I wasn't really hungry, so I stayed in the garage.
Right when Julie left, I remembered the Sunset Curve CD. Something about it bothered me. Why would someone ruin a good song with unbearable shouting?
I went to the stereo and pressed play.
Clocks move forward
But we don't get older, no
Kept on climbing
Till our stars collided
The shouting continued. And it got even louder than last time. Until....
"AAAAHHHH!" I shouted. They shouted too. I ran as fast as I could.
"GHOSTS!" i screamed. "JULIE"
"Wha-" "Carlos! Don't go in the garage! Ghosts!" I warned him and ran towards Julie, who looked confused because I was just shouting at her brother.
"Calm down!" she shouted. I took a deep breath. "Ghosts. In the studio." I said out of breath. Julie just sighed. "Listen, I just got to play music yesterday for the first time since my mom died. This prank... not funny." She turned around and let me stand there.
I wasn't hallucinating. There were three ghosts.
I went back to the studio.
No ghosts... What was it then?
I looked around. "Ghosts? Hello?" I said, hoping for an answer just so I could know I wasn't hallucinating.
No answer.
I sighed. Now my best friend thinks I was making fun of her dead mom.
"You were calling?" A blonde guy said who just walked through a closed door, followed by two others.
I closed my eyes "I'm not crazy. They will be gone when I open my eyes." I took a deep breath and opened my eyes after a few seconds.
No ghosts.
I sighed and turned around to leave the garage when I felt like I just walked through a cold shower. I looked behind me and saw three guys looking at me including the middle, dark haired one with raised eyebrows, who I just walked through. The blonde one smiled "We don't bite."
"No, you two don't. I do." the brown haired one smiled, looked at me and stepped forward. I took a step backwards.
"Luke, leave that poor girl." the black haired one said. "Can't you see she's scared?"
I looked at them. "Are you ghosts?" I blurted out. They all looked back at me.
My eyes fixed on the one who supposedly is Luke. I looked at him partly because I was scared, partly because he was cute, but we don't talk about that.
"Yes, freshly dead since yesterday. We were supposed to play at the Orpheum yesterday but-"
"Yesterday?" I cut the black haired guy off. "I doubt that."
"Ouch. That hurt. Don't we look like we could play in the Orpheum?" The one I cut off asked.
"No, it's not that. You guys just don't look like Chase Atlantic" I smiled slightly.
"Who?" They asked in unision.
I frowned "Don't tell me you guys don't know Chase Atlantic."
"Well..." Luke said.
"Let me show you." I sighed and went to Julie's laptop and entered her passcode. The guys stood behind me.
"Wait- guys, look." Luke pointed at the date at the bottom right of the laptop. "Don't tell me it's 2022..."
"Okay, I won't tell you." I shrugged.
"When we died... it was 1995." The black haired one said.
"So you wanna tell me... I creid... FOR 27 YEARS?" the blonde ghost asked slowly.
"Don't worry, Alex."
"No, I am worrying Reggie."
"Care to fill me in?" I asked impatiently.
"So when we died, we were in a room for like- 30 minutes. Alex cried the whole time but we realized just now that 27 years have passed." Luke explained.
"And when I played that CD... it 'summoned' you guys?" I asked them.
"Kinda, yeah." Reggie said.
"27 YEARS!" Alex shouted and fell on the sofa.
"You guys can't say here. What if Julie sees you? She'll think you guys are thiefs and kill you." I worried. I felt guilty I played the CD, so now I have to help them.
"Yeah I doon't think it's possible to kill us again. Also, she won't see us. When you ran away a little guy came over here and looked everywhere and asked 'If there are ghosts here, please show yourself.', while we were right next to him." Luke chuckled and I felt my cheeks heat up.
"You'll come with me." I said.
"But what about the instruments? Can we take some?" Alex asked. I said they could take my guitar and walked out of the garage with Reggie and Alex, followed by Luke with the guitar.
After a few minutes, Luke started playing some tunes. "Young Lady, do you mind turning the music down?" An older man asked me. I looked at Luke and he got the hint. I quickly took my phone ad pretended to turn the volume down. The man thanked me and I kept walking with the guys.
"Why can I see you but others can't?" I asked.
When I looked at them, they were grinning like idiots. "People can hear us play!" Luke smiled.
"You know what, I'm not even surprised. I'm the only one who can see you. But others can hear you play. And I'm talking to three cute ghosts."
"Cute?" Luke asked. Again, my cheeks heated up and I opened the door to my house. With the guys still behind me, I walked inside and led them to the attic. "I'm sorry guys, but I don't know where else I should let you stay. There's a sofa, a bed and an old TV that should still work." I explained and turned around to go to my room. "Where are you going now?" Reggie asked.
"My room. I'll go to bed, it's already 11pm" I smiled slightly.
"Alright, thanks for letting us stay, uhm-"
"Oh, sorry. I'm Jen." I chuckled.
"Alright, thanks Jen." Luke said and the other two ghosts smiled at each other and nodded.
"Goodnight." Luke said before I could enter my room.
I looked back at him and smiled slightly "Goodnight." And with that being said, I entered my room. I changed into my sleeping pants and old shirt that I stole from my older brother and went straight to bed.Luke p.o.v.
"Goodnight, Juliet!" Reggie laughed. "Goodnight, Romeo!" Alex giggled, then Alex grabbed Reggies face and they were close to kissing before they started laughed.
"Enough, guys. I don't like her like that, I barely know her. Also, I just wanted to be polite. I mean- she's letting us stay here." I explained to them while laying down on the sofa. Reggie and Alex looked at each other and then back at me. "Alright." They said in unision and layed down on the bed.
"Goodnight, Romeo." I heard Alex whisper. "Goodnight, Juliet." Reggie whisper-laughed.
I threw a pillow at them "Goodnight, idiots." I said.
The last thing I heard before I fell aseep was Alex giggling quietly.>>Hey guys, I hope you liked my story. I will try to update it daily, so it'll be completed in about one or two months. Don't forget to vote and comment some feedback!<<
