Chapter Twenty Five

Once Upon a Right Now in Storybrooke. . . . 

By the time you get onto the main street, the purple smoke is dwindling, but still swirling around the town. 

"The curse... It's broken?" Leroy asks as you come to a halt. 

"Remains to be seen, we've not gone back. . ." you say making everyone look "where the hell is my daughter. 

"Just what I was thinking" Mary Margret said just as Emma who comes up behind you with Henry speaks.

"So, it's true?" as Mary Margaret cups Emma's face before hugging her, you notice Emma does not return the gesture.

"I spoke to my friend at the school, they're keeping all the kids inside till they're sure its safe. . ." Ruby comes up to you "she'll be safe. . ." she assures you once more. 

"I want to see her. . ." 

"We will . . ." Jefferson holds your hand and squeezes it "as soon as we know whats happening." he promises. You look up as  Mother Superior joins the crowd.

"Magic. It's here. I can feel it."

"Jefferson was right, Magic In Storybrooke!" Henry says excitedly "You're the Blue Fairy. Do something magical." He looks at her exactly and she smiles but there's a sadness to it. 

"It's not quite that simple, Henry. No wand, no fairy dust. . .Matters are complicated, now."

"Let's go to the person responsible for bringing it, the Queen." Leroy says angrily. 

"No, wait. It wasn't Regina." Jefferson steps in "It was Gold."  With that, the crowed you were part of start walking down Main Street to Mr Golds Pawn Shop. 

"What did you do?" 

"I might have instigated a bit of a kick up the backside magic wise?" He winces, also whispering to your whispered  question. 

"Sweet fu. . ." 

"I had to save you!!" He says with passion as quickly as possible "I had to, and to protect Grace, she was going to keep us separated." 

"They lying cow. . ." you grunt "we'll, she'll feel my wrath soon." but it appears that someone had beaten you to that thought as Archie quickly runs up to the group.

"There you are." He pants as he reaches you, Jefferson, Emma, Snow and Charming.  "Come with me. I need your help. Dr. Whale's whipped everyone into a frenzy. They're going to Regina's house. They're going to kill her!"

"Great, let's watch." Leroy starts to walk forward. 

"No. No, we cannot stoop to her level. No matter who she is or what she's done, killing her is wrong." Archie protests. 

"He's right. Please. She's still my mom." Henry says looking at Emma and then at you "right?" 

"We have to stop them" You look at Henry and then at Emma. 

"If the Blue Fairy is right and magic is here, Regina could have her powers back. They'll be marching into a slaughter." Charming quickly realises as you all run towards the mob as they reach Regina's house. You're trying to make your way to the front, you pause as Regina's magic fails. Regina extends her arms in an attempt to do magic, but nothing happens. The crowd flinches, but realises that she can't perform magic.

"She's powerless!" Someone shouts. 

"What?" Regina looks shocked. 

"Get her!" Another voice yells Dr. Whale grabs Regina and slams her against the doorway pillar.
