"We're back with Nini Salazar-Roberts," Lizzie said, she's the host of the show. "Thank you for coming." I smiled at her. "Congratulations on your new movie "Beyond My Window", what can you say about the filming process?"

"Thank you very much, I'm very proud of this movie. I want to thank Jimmy for choosing me for this role. We had a great time during the filming and I love my cast members so much."

"As far as we know, the producer offered you to write a song for the film, but you said no." I smiled forcefully and nodded.

"To tell you the truth, I can't write songs." I laughed.

"But on Instagram, there are a few songs that you wrote."

"Yeah but not the whole song, it's really hard."

"You have a wonderful voice. Why didn't you choose a singing career?"

"It may seem silly to you now, but when I was ten years old, I was taking part in one competition. I met a guy there, and he told me I had a terrible voice and I should never sing again. Then I was very upset and went home crying. I fight with my moms because I thought I was being lied to my whole life. After that, I refused to sing. I joined the school theater."

"This is a very sad story, Nini. I'm sure that guy was wrong. Did you know who is he?"

"I have no idea who he is and where he is now."

"As we know, after your refusal, Ricky Bowen wrote a song for the movie."

"Yes, that's true," I said without a smile. Was it necessary to mention this guy?

"The song is also excellent and fits exactly with the content of the movie. He came to the set, did you meet him?"

"Thank god, we didn't see each other. To be honest, I do not listen to Ricky Bowen's songs because I do not consider him as a good singer, I don't think he's that talented."

"Oh, that's a very direct statement."

"Yeah, but it's true."

"Okay, let's change the subject."

"with a great pleasure."

"It was horrible," I said as soon as I entered home.

"I know, I watched." Maya told me, she is my best friend.

"Can't they just avoid questions about that nasty Bowen? Everyone knows we hate each other and this woman did not know? If she wanted to get on my nerves?"

"Calm down and don't think about that guy anymore."

"Okay." I said and take a deep breath.

"By the way ... Do you know what Ricky said about you?"

"Didn't you tell me not to talk about him at that moment? He would not say anything good, I do not care what he thinks, so please, don't tell me what he said."

"Okay, I have to go now, I'll call you later, you know it's Kourtney's birthday next week and we need to plan a party."

"Yeah, I remember, see ya later." She hugged me and left.

I entered my room, after taking a shower I sat on the couch and picked up my guitar, I was going to start singing but my manager called me.

"Mr. Mazzara, before you say anything and argue, do you know that when I am asked something about Bowen I'm always telling the truth? It is not my fault."

"I know Nini. I'm calling you about something else.  We'll talk about what you said about Mr. Bowen tomorrow." I sighed. Ben has been my manager for years, I have a very good relationship with him.

"what is happening?"

"There's one tv series, you'll be the guest star for two episodes. I thought it would be good for you."

"What role?"

"The main characters of the series are getting married, you will be their childhood best friend, who moved to America years ago, and now arrives in London for a wedding with his boyfriend, who is also your childhood friend."

"Will I have to go to England?"

"Yes. Well, what do you think? Do you agree?"

"And who will play my boyfriend?"

"I do not know. I will tell you as soon as I find out, but I think you should agree."

"Okay, I'll think about it, but you know I trust you."

"Okay, then let's meet tomorrow and discuss the details. I'll send you the script and read it."

"Goodbye." I said and hung up the phone.

I lost the desire to write a song. I don't want to go to England. I lived there for a year, because of my ex-boyfriend, because he asked me to move there. Then we broke up, and it was terrible. I decided to move away from his house, he did not agree, he was very angry and then he...  it is better not to think about it anymore.  I already left that in the past.

I took my notebook. I said today that I do not write songs, but that is not true. I love writing very much when I have time I always write and sing. Even my friends do not know this, only Maya. Maya and I are very close, she knows all my secrets.
I picked up the laptop and started reading the script.

"What do you think? Did you like it?" Ben asked me.

"Why do they need so many kisses?" I asked. "We even kissed each other during our first appearance on the series."

"It's Netflix, why are you surprised."

"Are my character and his boyfriend addicted to sex?"

"Nini," he said, rolling his eyes. "If you do not want this role just said."

"No, I want to. To tell you the truth, I do not want the fans to think that I refuse roles like that. I am 23 years old, I played so many different roles in movies and TV series, but I have not done anything in front of the cameras except kissing, it's time to change it."

"Okay, then come on, sign the contract." He told me and I agreed with a smile.

"I want you to know that I'm doing this for you, you have already signed it and you can not change your mind," he told me, and I looked at him confused.

"what is happening?" The door opened and before I could look back, Ben told me:

"He will be your partner in the series." I looked back and ...

No.

No way. I'm not doing that with HIM.
