Chapter 2- Luz is changing

(Amity's POV)

"Alador! Children! Come quick!" Mom screamed. Please say she isn't planning a get power quick scheme or whatever. My dad and siblings are also nervous as we sit on the couch. Mom stood in front of us; menacingly. "So." Is all she said as dad stoop up: "Odalia, i'm tired of you trying to bully us-" As dad said that, Mom hugged him. Which is something she never does. "I love you, Alador" She said as she pulled away from him and continued; "Children. I am so sorry for the way I treat you and your father. Edric and Emira, you two are the finest illusionists I have ever seen. You two will be excellent witches when you are older. Amity. My Mittens. I can't believe how far you have come. The human has had an impact on you. You've become something I wish I could Amity. You are so amazing and I am proud of you, and you all. I really want to become a better person. I do need time. The Emperor has set up therapy so I can try. I know you may not forgive me now..-" Mom said, as she started balling with tears. We all cried as we ran to her, hugging her for what was probably the first time in our lives. We all stayed there for a few moments as Mom said. "Amity. I do think the human is in trouble. She's making a deal with Belos. I'd watch yourself. She could be hurt." I gasped as Mom sent us to our rooms. "What does she mean deal..? And she could be hurt?!" I thought, anger bubbling inside of me as I question what in the titan is Luz doing.

(Time Skip- NO POV)

"Okay Luz, for each experiment, I will be talking through what I am doing. You have an excellent knowledge for glyphs. So I would appreciate if you could maybe take notes as I go through what's happening" Luz nodded. "He does seem reliable to be honest, If anything smells fishy, I'll be sure to question" She thought to herself. "Okay, so i'll be testing different combinations to see how your body reacts with it. May I lay a bombshell on you. Please don't freak out. But I Luz.... Am Phillip Wittebane.." Luz gasped. The person she has been desperatly trying to find out about was right in front of her the whole time. Who is Luz kidding? It was so obvious. The voice, they sounded identical. "I... kind of knew, I found your journal in Bonesborough Library, and an echo mouse ate it and that is a whole story in itself. But it sounded identical to you so-" Phillip chuckled. "I suppose so, Luz" Belos explained the process of what Luz was about to endure. He warned that she too could be cursed like him. He gave her the option to tap out, but she denied it.

Pain. Pain is all Luz felt as Phillip started the experiment. Her blood screaming for mercy. Her skin bubbling as it was trying to push away the magic. To no evail. Her screams could be heard from miles away... Miles away to Blight Manor.

Amity's head jerked as the faint screems of a familliar goof echoed in her mind. "LUZ!" She screamed. Her palisman, Ghost, instantly turned into a staff as she encouraged Amity to see what was going on. Amity instantly got on Ghost as the white feline zoomed towards Belos' castle. She stopped at the gate as a Scout said "Sorry Ms. Blight, Visitors cannot-" Amity's face turned cold as she said, "The human I love is in there screaming in pain. Let me in." The scout sighed. "Look, you can wait in the Throne room, I can't take you to them" She nodded as the scout led her to the thronr room. Amity waited for what seemed like years as Belos came into the throne room. "Ms. Blight. I really don't think you want to see Luz right now... She's... Not herself." Belos said as he slumped into the throne. "I don't care, take me to her." Amity said, coldly. "Very well, follow me" Belos said as he got up and led Amity to the accomodation rooms.

As they got to the door marked 'Luz Noceda: Experiment #1' Amity got even more angry. Belos told her that Luz is infact okay physically, she just may have turned into something... Inhuman. Amity brushed off the comment as she pushed the door into the dark room. There were two lamps in the corner. But no sign of Luz. The lamps glowed a suspicious shade of golden yellow as Amity called out Luz's name. The lamps shot up as Amity realised.. Those aren't lamps... They're eyes. A soft growl came from the creature as the lights flickered on..

There, in clear light. Stood a large, brown bear monster with enchanting golden eyes. It stood on its hind legs, revealing claws the size of boulders. It looked down at Amity as it sat on its rump. Not attacking the already petrified witch. "L-Luz...?" Amity muttered. The bear said nothing, just looked into Amity's golden eyes; which were identical to the beasts.

The bear scooched closer to the witch as she pulled back in fear. The bear huffed a defeated tone as it sat back down. Amity, gaining a little courage, walked closer to the beheamoth of a creature as it bowed its head to Amity's hand. The witch giggled as the bear allowed her to pet it. Just then, Belos barged in. "Amity! Please don't touch her! Not because I don't ship you guys, cause i'm 100% Team Lumity. But because at any time, she can change. She'll go rabid. That's why I didn't want you to see her. She almost killed poor Steve" Steve came in, his arms had been cut badly. "It's no worries Luz. I get it, you're scared. Therapy for Steve!" He said as he walked out. Amity looked at Luz in horror as she started breathing heavily. Her eyes became black like the ink of a Kraken as Belos pushed Amity out and was struck by the monster. His blood poured out like water from a cup as he himself rushed out the door and locked it. You could hear Luz get more angry as the sounds of scratching and damage to the room echoed through the Emperor's castle. Luz is... Changing...
