The daylight goes down as she looks in the window. She was the last one to leave the library.
Dream job, right?
She put a book on the dusty shelf in the back as she glances again outside.
This time her eyes catch a black silhouette of a tall man.
Looking again, he's nowhere to be seen.
Could it be the man without a face? Could it be the man that kidnapped a girl, attacked her friends, and threatened her constantly?
Could it be Jake?
She pushes the thought aside immediately as she opens her phone.

My face lights up a little seeing his name on the screen.

I smile to myself. I look again at the window and I remind myself that I have to leave before it gets too dark outside.
MC
Guys, I have to head home, is getting dark outside.

She closes her phone and headed to the door. As she's trying to lock the door, she hears a loud noise down the road.
MC starts to walk down the street carefully. At some point, she can't remember when she notices a shadow behind her.
As she walks faster, so does the shadow.
She starts running then. She was running as fast as she could, looking behind constantly.
She bumps into someone.
The tall figure put an arm around her and step ahead between her and her follower.
-Any problem here? he asks harshly.
-No, no. I was just heading home.
-You often run after young women down the street on your way home?
The man turns around and walks away immediately.
-Are you okay, MC?
She feels a tear forming in the corner of her eye.
-Jake...
-Yes. It's me.
-This isn't the way I imagined our first meeting, she says laughing.
He smiles and puts an arm on her back.
-Come on. he says looking into your eyes.
She trusted him. Wholeheartedly. Since they met, until this day. It's a bit weird actually. But not the fact that she trusted a person the moment they met. But she didn't know his name. His gender.
But she never stopped trusting him. Never.
They walk a couple of minutes and they arrived at a pretty peaceful and quiet place. She entered by his side in his apartment at the motel.
She looks around and sees some computers.
-Feel like home. he says as he takes his shoes off and walks in.
She made herself comfortable in a chair and she opens her phone, on the group chat.
They were just joking around.

She closes her screen and looks after her hacker boy. She found him sitting at his computer, but his eyes were glancing at her.
She smiled at him.
He smiled back.
-You should sleep. It's pretty late. he says.
-What about you?
-I don't have time to. Made yourself comfortable in bed.
She looks at him. His tired eyes were trying to hide the exhaust.
She lays in bed and stayed there with her eyes close, unable to sleep. Minutes later she feels a hand on the side of her face.
He gently brushes her hair behind the ear.
-If you knew how much I love you.
MC tried her best to stay still, feeling her cheeks burning. Moments later she falls asleep.
In the middle of the night, she feels the heat of another body next to her. He was right there.
Her heart was about to explode.
She looked up at him.
-Did I wake you up?
-No. I mean yes, but it doesn't bother me.
-Good night MC.
-Good night, Jake. I love you.
He smiles to himself and holds her close to him.
