"When are we going to be there?" Marshall groaned, tired from walking so much from a minor detour.

"We're coming up to it, just be patient."

"Oh come on! You said it would be fast."

"Yes, because it's on the way from our final destination. And we won't be gone for long." the spirit told Marshall. Sighing, he continued walking with it, still disappointed in having to obey its request of taking this detour. He wondered what about the place made it so special and important to the spirit, but there was nothing he could do other than follow its request. After all, if this was as fast as he said it would be, then he wouldn't have to wait too long.

"Hey... uh, can I ask what about this place makes it so important?" Marshall suddenly asked it.

"...Well, it is very personal to me."

"How so?"

"It... it is the place that I last remember."

"What does that mean?" Marshall questioned the spirit. It paused for a moment, quickly looking away from the dalmatian before back at him.

"I... I have lost almost all of the memories of my life. The last thing I remember... is my death."

"...Oh," Marshall whispered, choosing to stay silent after it said that. After a couple of seconds of silence, Matthew spoke up.

"Ah, we just have to take a right and walk for a bit, then we're there."

"Oh, okay," Marshall replied, turning right and listening to its direction. An awkward silence developed whilst the two were walking, and Marshall, growing more and more curious of this entity, wanted to question it more.

"So... what do you remember of your death exactly?"

"...I do not recall much, just... a field."

"A field?"

"Yes... a field... green and full of flowers..."

"Sounds... pretty."

"Oh, trust me... you could stare at it for a while," the spirit told Marshall. "Speaking of it... here it is."

Confused, Marshall turned in front of him to see the field in question.

"Woah."

"You just won't listen to me! You never do!" Chase yelled at the dalmatian.

"No, I won't; because you're being ridiculous!"

"I'm being ridiculous?! All I did was ask for you to be slightly more careful, but instead, you wanted to go out there and prove to me and everyone else that you think you're better than you are!"

"Excuse me?! First of all, that was nowhere near the reason I did that, and secondly, you're pretending like I have no experience whatsoever!"

"Oh, really now?! Well, fine! You want to be reckless? So be it!" Chase yelled before storming off, tears in his eyes as he ran as far as he could away from the dalmatian.

As Chase's eyes opened, his breathing became quick and short, glancing around the room to see where he was. He tried to process what he saw with the massive headache he has and whether or not what he saw was even real.

'What... what the hell was that? Was that... real? That felt... familiar... but I don't remember anything like that happening," Chase said, trying to regain his breath. He tried to stand up, but his body suddenly felt weak, and he collapsed to the floor soon after.
