''~Chapter 6~''

Home is where the heart is

Lafayette's pov

     Remind me to never aggravate Isa. The first few hours were fine, we were either A) in our own worlds listening to music or B) Listening to the radio. I was listening to the radio. I think it's always funny the weird songs on the radio, one of them said "Feel like sun....on my skin...so this is love...you know it is" I don't know the name of that song but it was catchy.
  
     After a little while Isa got like really mad and she pulled over at a, what is it? Restplace? Rest Stop or whatever! We stayed there for a good 15-30 minutes. But however long it took for Isa to not get out of the car and hurt someone.

Isa's pov

"I'm going to-" My thought was interrupted by John putting his hand on my free hand that wasn't on the wheel, apparently he could tell I was getting mad. "Flower, maybe we should pull over at the nearest rest area for you to calm down a bit? You look mad, and I don't want us dead, flower" he told me, I agreed with him and pulled over to the nearest rest area and parked for a little bit. We had stayed there for 15-30 minutes. Herc started saying all sorts of funny things and it made me feel a lot better.

    After the time passed we were back on the road and had about a 2 and a half hour drive left. I had one of John's earbuds in and he has pretty good taste in music, I knew a lot of the songs. They were wireless so it made it easy.

~at Aunt Ellie's home~

"kiddo!" "Auntie you know how I feel about being called that" I smiled gently as my aunt hugged me. "Désolé mon cher" she told me. "It's alright Auntie" I broke free from the hug and introduced her to everyone. Lafayette kinda snuck away cause when we were younger she had came to visit us in France and he had broke something that she had brought and he still remembered it. "Marquis!! Hey there bud!" He jumped, I smiled at him reassuringly. He waved shyly. Then he went to find one of my three younger siblings. He dragged Herc with him.

     We stayed downstairs and talked to my aunt. "Will you show them their rooms, dear?" She asked me. "Of course!" I got up and motioned for the others then headed upstairs. "Laf, Mulligan, you guys have that room" I pointed to the room, all the rooms were bunk beds. Those two went in. "Angle, Peggy that's your room" They grabbed their stuff and went into the room, they were giggling. Sisters will be sisters. "Liza, Alex there's your guys room" Poof they were gone. I grabbed John's hand I brought him into our room.

     "I call dibs on top bunk" he said "oh no ya don't!" I said playfully and climbed up to the top bunk. "Mine." I said. He just chuckled "fine"

     "Isabellllllllllllllllll" Mariana came bursting in. She's my 15 year old sister. "Yes, Ana?" "I'm boreddddddd can I chill in here with you and your boyfriend for a bit?" Laurens chuckled, "sure!" We both told her. "Ana, this is John Laurens, my boyfriend, yes, Sun this is my 15 year old sister, Mariana" she waved l. "Sooooo how's college been? Also where's ant?" My smile faded as soon as she said the second part. "It's been alright, and you guys didn't hear?.." I felt my eyes starting to tear up. She shook her head no, "what do you mean?" She asked, "He's....gone" I told her, wiping my eyes. "N-no you're joking right? Why didn't Aunt El tell us?" I shrugged, and jumped down and hugged Ana. "je suis vraiment désolé" she stayed silent and she just cried. I just stayed by her side. "I-I'm gonna go talk to either Aunt El, or Kate" and she walked out, and I sat on the bottom bunk, worried for my baby sister. "I called aunt El and told her about Ant, I don't know why she didn't tell, Ana, Kate (16 year old), or Taylor (17 year old).." I told John "maybe she just did not want them to worry?" He suggested. I shrugged and got up.

     "I'm gonna go play outside with Taylor, er well ask her if she wants to play outside." I told John "can I join? It's hot in here...cause you're in here" When he said that last bit I smiled and just nodded,then kissed him on the cheek. I walked out and knocked on Taylor's door. "Taytay? Wanna go play outside or something?" She came out of her room with a smile and nodded "Volleyball?" She asked and I nodded. "You are so going down" I told her. "Ha as if" she said. "Hey, who's team went to state? Mine, and at college the team is undefeated so far so you are so going down lil sis!" She rolled her eyes in a playful way.

     As we were playing, she hit it and it went to far and went into the road. "I'll get it" I told her and starting to run to it. "No, I hit into the road let me get it!" She protested. "Tay, I've already lost Anthony, and I'm not losing you too. I'm getting the ball." She just nodded. I watched for traffic and bolted into the street to get the ball. Once I got the ball I ran fastest I have back to the yard. "Geez- that was fast" John said. "I was the best girl on the team for track, of course I'm gonna be fast" he chuckled. "Fair enough."
