Chapter 4: The Mutation Begins to Meow

 Ren Xi drove until evening, it was so dark that he couldn't see his fingers, and he could only occasionally see the undulating black peaks in the distance, and the occasional flash of lights lit by people built in the wilderness. Except for the area where the headlights can illuminate, it is all dark.

At night, there are very few highway vehicles, and occasionally one or two luxury cars will catch up behind Ren Xi's car, and the owner of the car will press the horn and frantically flutter past, disappearing into Ren Xi's sight in the blink of an eye.

"It's really a little fart." Ren Xi looked at him and smiled.

Driving at night made Ren Xi a little tired, he only slept a little when he drove the car to the service station on the morning, but he expected to drive his own self home, he had to drive another night, and will be home by dawn.

Because of the night drives, in order to refresh his mind, Ren Xi prepared mint slices which had a refreshing feeling of stimulation in his mouth, and his whole body trembled a little.

But he don't know if it's because of the mint tablets, Ren Xi suddenly feels a little hot.

In fact, from the time the sun went down and night began, Ren Xi also began to feel his whole body becoming hot, but it was not particularly obvious at that time, and when it was dark, this heat became serious. The car was clearly air-conditioned, but Ren Xi was still sweating profusely.

Ren Xi couldn't help but stuff mint slices into his mouth, and the mint slices were cold and fluttering, hopefully it can give Ren Xi some cool feelings.

Ren Xi adjusted the speed of the car a little slower, while pulling his collar, revealing his collarbone, he touched the thin sweat on his forehead, frowned a little depressed, and touched his forehead again: "I'm not going to have a fever."

His forehead was a little hot and he seemed to be really running a fever, after the time passed minute by minute, Ren Xi felt that his head began to hurt again. The temples suddenly seemed to beat and the throat became dry, making Ren Xi open the water bottle and pour himself a large mouthful of water.

But the more he drank, the more thirsty he became, and his lips became dry and cracked, so Ren Xi had to take a sip of water to his mouth, moisturizing his dry lips from time to time.

"I've got to find a place to stop." Ren Xi said to himself, he remembered that he had a prepared medicines, treatment of colds, fevers, and the likes, there are also some that treats trauma which were all placed in the medicine box on the back seat, but he couldn't pull out his hand when he's driving. When Ren Xi was anxious, Xiao He suddenly woke up.

"Uncle..." Xiao He rubbed his eyes and got up from the passenger's seat, he had already changed into the children's clothes that Ren Xi had bought for him, and now he looked even more cute.

"Xiao He, have you been woken up? Go ahead and sleep." Ren Xi saw that he was awake and he rarely don't touch his little head, knowing that this child's soft hair is comfortable to touch, it has always been Ren Xi's favorite, but now Ren Xi's head is a little painful, just staring at the road ahead and trying to drive this car is almost a struggle.
