"We were ships in the night. Our friendship sails the best among the rest. We laugh, we cry, we struggle sometimes, but I know somehow that we will be fine."

-Suzuni Dessafire, Amidst the Rain

Daylee's POV

The weather is bright, jolly and sunny. Sunrays pass through the leaves and trees on the roadside. Today is Sunday and the squad and I are headed to Sky's house to have a group study. Tomorrow we will be having an oral recitation on Music and Arts, as well as to finish our assignments.

I'm really not sure if I can just ignore what happened last week, but I hope Sky and I won't be awkward. 'I hope.'

Maureen brought a yellow, umbrella in case it gets hot enough to damage the skin. Zach is wearing a green hawaiian shirt and shorts, complimenting his fair skin. Yurina used a cute, white, baggy shirt and denim shorts, her black, straight hair tied up in a ponytail. The two of them had matching grey backpacks.

"You didn't do this on purpose, did you?" Rina almost growled, shooting him daggers with her squinted, spectacled eyes.

"I may or may not have known about your favorite color. Which may or may not be grey. Which I may have or may have not observed you having a grey bag which you always use during the summer. So yeah." He grins at her.

"Wow, you're infuriating." She hisses. Rina rushes towards Zach, fully ready to attack.

She begins slapping Zach's arm and he backs away from her with a playful smirk.

'Zach, it was nice knowing you, bro. Rina's gonna kill you.'

I shook my head and silently prayed for his survival.

Yurina gets ready to lunge at him, like a lioness watching its prey. Zach runs around evading Rina's claws- err... her lethal hands.

Update about Zach: he's still alive.

Maureen looks fashionable and fresh as always, glowing in a simple but elegant yellow summer dress, putting even the most beautiful Greek goddesses to shame. Dave is wearing a loose, white sweatshirt, and James walking on the street like a runway model with his dark blue polo shirt, denim shorts and sunglasses enough to make anyone else but me and Rina fangirl.

We continue treading the road, crossing a few building here and there, we passed through a mini-park where children play, and after letting our feet take us anywhere, we finally reached the mansion we've been looking for.

"Maureen, would you do the honors, please?" I clasp my hands together and show her my cute puppy eyes with a hopeful smile. She nods and rings the doorbell.

Sky opened the door and ushered us in. 'Why is his hair waxed and combed upwards?'

"Welcome, you annoying creatures. It's 9:00 a.m and we have two to three assignments, so let's hurry up and get all this stuff done, shall we?" He said, leading us to the living room, which has 2 green sofas and a 3-meter long table where all of us can study.

I sneak a glance at him to see if he was even just a little bit flustered by the event that occured last week. He's acting like nothing happened.

I sit down at the farthest corner of the table, Maureen sitting at my right, Rina at my left, followed by Zach, Dave, James and Sky, sitting at the other side of the table, the three of them facing us. My palms start sweating so I wipe them on my black leggings. Looking everywhere else but Sky, I grab my books and notes from my bag.

"Let's prepare for our recitation tomorrow. I'll ask some questions and you guys guess the answers. Let's review the first lesson for 15 minutes, after that we'll start answering." Sky announced, skimming through the Music and Arts book. He highlights some questions while the rest of us try to familiarize and memorize the material. Sky set up an alarm to go off in 15 minutes.
