Next Morning
Everyone leaves for the ground the players start their warm-ups along with the support staff. The medical team took the stands and were looking through the fitness and recovery levels of each of the players.
On-field Mahi had just finished his laps and was taking a break he went to the dressing room to grab his protein shake in the meanwhile Sakshi too took a break and went to grab a bottle of water and snack from her bag.
When she walked into the dressing room to see Mahi sitting on the bench with his eyes closed taking a breather. Sakshi saw him sitting and she had the urge to talk to him and maybe run her hands through his soft hair. She stood there staring at him.
Mahi: Hello Ms. Sakshi, you need something?
Sakshi: N...No Mr. Dhoni. I just came to grab a bottle of water and a snack from my bag.
Mahi: Oh ok. By the way, Ms. Sakshi welcome to the squad were excited to have you on board.
Sakshi: Thank you! Me too Mr. Dhoni. Working with the ICT feels like a dream come true
Mahi just starts laughing
Mahi: Yes working with us can be a dream come true. But when did you start enjoying cricket? As far as I remember last time we met you found it boring.
Sakshi: Mr. Dhoni it's been 3 years since that, things change.
Mahi: Yeh Mr. Dhoni kya hota hai? Budho wali feeling aati hai you can call me Mahi or MS but not Mr. Dhoni, please.
Sakshi: Ok MS but you also have to stop calling me Ms. Sakshi, budho wali feeling sirf tumhe hi nahi aati
Mahi: Ok shakshi
Sakshi grabs her things from her bag and makes her way to the ground, Mahi just smiles and returned to resting with his eyes closed.
He closes his eyes and he sees Saskhi, he wonders why he is being affected by this girl so much when she's near him he enjoys her presence and wants her to stay around him. He wants to be her friend and talk to her but he doesn't know how to approach her. He is thinking all this smiling when Yuvi comes into the dressing room.
Yuvi: Dhoni ji kiske khayalo me khoye ho?
Mahi in his daze replies: Sakshi ke
Yuvi: Hain?
Mahi comes back to his senses
Mahi: Kuch nai yaar Yuv bas aise hi baitha tha
Yuvi: mahi mai dekh raha hu ki jab se Sakshi ne team join ki hai tu khoya khoya rehta hai, baat kya hai baata
Mahi: Maine kaha na yuvi kuch nahi hai, chal hum practice pe chalte hai.
Yuvi: Theek hai chal
After Sakshi left the dressing room she had a smile on her face, her favorite cricketer/crush had just asked her to address him on a first-name basis. She felt on cloud 9 but she didn't know what was another feeling she felt. She loved being around him, she loved talking to him but she couldn't point her finger at what it was that she felt. She was lost in her thought walking when she accidentally bumped into Sonu.
Sakshi: I'm so sorry Suresh sir, I wasn't looking
Sonu: It's ok Sakshi, and please don't call me sir, you are like my sister
Sakshi: To mai aapko Sonu bhai bolu?
Sonu: Ofcourse Sakshi, Sakshi yeh bato tum kaha khoi hui thi?
